Seems the mood is overwhelmingly bullish for usd right now unfortunately. One set of not so good results that a fed has just come out to criticise versus consecutive months of poor data in euro zone. . Unfortunately the odds still seem stacked against euro for now

Unless some impactful news comes out like change of monetary policy or something major happens with the trade war....

If M15 holds at the upward trendline it is now pulling back to then we should go up i guess

The way I see it is... If today's data was good then we might have gone down to 1.121 or worse ... Now at least i feel more certain 1.125 will hold a bit more....

Fair points, although I remain unconvinced about the pair’s potential long term direction. I think there’s a marginally higher chance of a weaker EUR in the weeks and months to come. Also, if the US Department of Commerce suggests (by this Sunday) that auto imports could pose a national security threat (as they’re scheduled to report on), we’re looking at the possibility of more tariffs on imports. With the Eurobond being such a large trading partner, it could deal them an additional blow.

But I’m no prophet and could be proven wrong. At least we both agree that as of now, there are no strong signals for the near-term performance.

Hi Guys,

Nothing cast in stone. For those of you familiar with AB=CD patterns, something to ponder about. Daily time frame down to hourly time frame brings me to more or less the same area 1.12185 ish. I do not say that I will trade this pattern but for sure will look at reversals in Price action from this area onwards.

I have just returned from a glorious sun drenched walk in the countryside, where I live, and it is February! Get some more CO2 up into the atmosphere and warm up the planet. To make the experience even sweeter all of my FX trades are in profit.

Not there yet, so I am still on the short side right now. But I am staying light as appears we will be range trade for a while so be nimble and quick.

Nice W forming on 4 hour, not a solid long yet but can scalp longs on the 15 min near the bottom. Also, shorts near the top. But don't fall in love with either side, this will eventually break.

This is typical action for a market bottom. Caveat - it is also typical action for a pause before going lower. Economic data and central bank chat has me leaning to market bottoming.

But a Trump Tweet, Mario becomes bullish, new tariifs by US and China, a Brexit blowup, etc. etc. etc. can send it flying in either direction.

EU has a date with 1.1215 and below. My buy button is broken. The US news was a sweet moment to enter sells. Just a few 15mins candles would have told any trader good at reading candlesticks that this was headed down.
