My MT4 is also version 1170. Unfortunately, when loading your EA, I was prompted to upgrade it. Incompatible?

Hello MathTrader7 I am using this current version and I noticed that once I place a hedged trade and either change timeframes or log out and then log back into my mt4 account that the EA no longer seems to track the pips of the hedge trade I just placed. You cant even use the EA to close the trade with the close all button any more. Is this suppose to happen? I kind of like how it was keeping track of the pips I was am winning and losing.

The EA is designed for being used for a short time during red news release which we usually do not restart the MT4 platform, or change the timeframe of the chart.

In the early versions it does but in the newer versions it is all up to the trader to enter the lot sizes for the main and the hedge symbols.

Basically you need first to find out how much a point of the main and hedge symbols worth in your account currency. Then look at ADR (Average Daily Range) values for both symbols and calculate lot sizes based on these values. Note: do calculation based on the assumption that what would be the profit/loss if the price of the main and hedge symbols goes to X and Y values given Lm and Lh lot sizes for the main and hedge symbols.
