Guys,
If a High Impact News is scheduled, say

CAD- CPI Numbers

Keeping aside the Systems/approaches that trade news exclusively/or as part of the system. The advice is to avoid the High Impact News/be on the sidelines...


Would you stop trading only the pairs containing which have new events scheduled {in this example anything to do with CAD}

(or)

Avoid all pairs altogether till the event is done?

i play high impact news , those that don't are not real traders making money on forex is what it about

For me, it just depends on how I feel. I do somewhat agree with Aussi. I do feel that if you don't play the news, then what are you doing? We already know that big moves can come from news impact, so why not?

Why not? Spread for one. Volatility is crazy.
Let me guess ... thats ok because youll pit your stop 200 pips away? So then you gamble on some
news get it right and make 40 pips and think awesome BUT youve made 1/5th of risk. Sonnext gamble you get wrong you lose 40. Whats the point? You will eventually lose it all.
