The Market is two-sided: for every buyer, there is a seller.

Therefore, at any point in time, 50% of all technical indicators should be saying "go long", and 50% should be saying "go short". This is why there is no such thing as "bullish/bearish consensus". If you ask 100 people and 80 percent are bullish, it just means you haven't asked enough people. The same goes for technical indicators/methods. If you look at 5 indicators and they're all "bullish", that just means you aren't looking at enough indicators. Now here's the rub, if you were to look at all the indicators, you would be paralyzed. Or what is often termed as having Analysis Paralysis.

Ok, I don't disagree with that.

So, what is the recipe you propose? how do YOU do with technical analysis. You use it?

And still, I have SEVERAL books on technical analysis...they seem to all agree in principles. They all tell the same story about trends, head and shoulders, shooting stars, engulfing, fibo etc etc. If that would be to any degree true > 50% of the times, everyone in this forum should be making money.

just a page ago someone stressing about money management.

You can be that trader who positions small on your winners. And then feeling good another obvious signal pops up. You leverage way too much and bam. You may be down only 20 pips but crater all your intelligent trades beforehand. My problem early.

Not to mention being “correct” on direction but getting hit with an opposite zig or zag first. Stoping you out. Your trade could be 15min or 15days too early.
