yes pretty mcuh. sometimes i wonder if it woudl be better to just be a pure momentum trader and ditch the fading strategy..

that default setting will affect your DPL as Sierra will reset it at midnight. Try 08:30:00 and 08:29:59 if you are in CT. That will do the trade accounting for a full 24 hours cycle. You are dealing with month end so there might be something else going on with month end carryover position.

I m currently running compares on Divergence (trend following/breakout/momo type trading) versus reversion (bounce/reversal at tops/bottoms). both have merit but I personally like momo. quick moves into profit or loss instead of waiting tick and tick movement... BUT you cannot take a nap bro lol

Ideally, I want to try both as there is definitely a transiiton from one to another but getting the timing right is tough

Like this run in march 2018... one of these will do wonders on a 6 contract size :- The yellow EMA is my Mandlebrot's coast line version of measuring the move but the darn thing does not work all the time lol

and play around with the one I circled.... 3rd party software products are retarded when it comes to fills from data service. Common problem it seems

and finally, always go to Trade > Refresh Trade Data from Service menu item before doing any trade stats in Sierra. This ensures your trade log is in sync with the data service provider. If it still does not work, I am out of options :-

Done all of the suggestions, no fix

i've also:

deleted and redownload data
reload and recalculate


at tthis point i think it's not a data related issue, it's trade communication issue lik nik said, since i still have this open order thats hanging

so i just place 1 contract orders to "flatten" the whole pnl..and it looks like it fixed it. no more open order arrows.

so we'll see what happens at US session today. and next week

cant sleep so just did scalp here and there.

didn't fix this issue. i have open short orders accounted for in sierra....i officially broke it.

Did you call your broker? If you are using OCO order type, I read somewhere that this scenario is a common thing with Sierra. Also check if you are continuously rolling the contract setting in Sierra.

On second thought, you will have to call AMP imo
This is not a Sierra issue. There is a disconnect between the Clearinghouse (CQG or whoever) and Amp. Your trading view platform is the "system of record" and accurate. Sierra is only pulling fill data from whatever or wherever it is pulling it from (most likely from amp). The action you took and not getting fixed reflects the two systems are not syned requiring broker to do something. I read this with seems to be quite common. Part of the reason why I personally like to use only market orders. Attached orders are funky too at times when you reverse trades. Better to flatten first and then trigger another order...anyways, that is all I can think of.

i shouldn't be calling my broker. broker has nothing to do with this trading record issue. CQG is also separate, so AMP doens't have no control over it either. All the broker does is clear my trades, period. In fact when cqg went down, i asked AMP and they just flat out, said not our problem.

this is CQG/sierra issue. More so sierra since my CQG correctly reflects the right pnl the next day. sierra seems to carrry on with the open trades to the next trade..

plus i have no problem with my broker statement or tradingview. the pnl is accurate. plus if i call them, what the heck am supposed to say..

umm..can you help fix sierra issue. they'll hang up on me lol

Agree. if your amp statement is accurate then there is no need to call them. The instance I was referring to was related to the daily account sync time between Amp/CQG/Clearinghouse or whatever. Apparently, there seems to be some timing issue with some data feed providers and brokers that results in the daily statement going out of wack. That is why brokers wash their hands and ask customers to report issues within 24 hours... something I looked into back in October and was pretty much pissed with the platform not able to report the trade log exactly the same way is it should in Sierra. This is a major flaw in most 3rd party s/w products imo. Their "internal order number/ID" does not match with what we see on the daily statement. too much work every day to cut/paste and match/confirm the trading log so we just have to trust what the broker sends up everyday :-(

Sierra is probably good for research/analytics and might be for autotrading but for what you use it for, not worth the hassle.

Edit: Probably the only good thing I like about Sierra is the clear cut distinction between Demo and Live screenshots. There is no doubt created like some other platforms which make you wonder what the heck is going on lol

Select only the Live account amd Live NQ symbol (full name) from the dropdown to see if it matters. Sierra is clunky... no doubt about it especially on the hands of the mis-informed. I still spend over 20-30% of my productivity on trying to figure things out in Siera. Powerful but seriously painful until you get used to the underlying design.

I still think it is your morning and evening session setting on the chart. I say this because even if you select a 24 hour session, market replay will pause at the end of "session". There is something weirdness about it. Create a new chart and start from scratch instead of duplicating an existing one.
