SDTR Strategy Part II

One important thing to take note of is high impact news events.

As this strategy is based on TA, it is still susceptible to HIN events.

When there is a new valid signal its always wise to be aware of any upcoming HIN that could impact your position and if you do open any orders to put protective measures in place.

Opened a sell on UC.

This is a good entry as there are multiple rejections at the R100 zone.

Update on my trades.

My EURAUD initially went against me. I had big stop loss just above the top of the swing high so was not worry about it. Itwent to -40 pisp. after that it started gaining pips my direction. I was monitoring the trade all the time. Went the things started looking really sweet (I was 30 pips in profit) I thought I am the PRO TRADER :-) haha - I moved the SL to BE.

When I got to 40 pips profit I thought my 50 pips target is so real and then things started going terribly wrong. The pair started going up (against me) and before I knew It hit my BE.

I should really leave it there, accept the fact that:

1. I had no clue here to take profit and
2. Greed won as I was really thinking to take this +40 pips and call it a day.

Instead accept it, because I am very new to live trading I made rookie mistake and tried to prove to the market that I know better :-)
I sold again from where it hit my stop loss thinking it will go down again. As you can imagine or check on charts now Market new better and I lost again.

I am not very proud of my today's "gambling" so I thought I share it here with you because showing only winners is so.... not statistically correct :-)

But thats all part of learning for me. I will try to remember how I felt today when I lost 2 times in a row. ! to greed and lack of knowledge and another time because of the pride and stupidity and when I will next time want to make spmething stupid like this I will remind myself that feeling.

Ps. What is your TP strategy. How do you determine your R:R within this strategy. When would you cut your losses ? Please share this info so people like me and others could potentially make less mistakes :-)

Ps2. It sounded like ?I lost thousands - no it was only few dollars. I am still in business :-)

Ps3. Should I not move my SL in a first place and stay in a trade till now I would have my 50 pips probably now.

Ps.4 My AUDCAD hit SL with less drama then EURAUD.

Missed some nice opportunities because i overslept. The GBP pairs are looking pretty good so far

Seems I missed some good set ups through the night and early morning. This is one of the main reasons why I wanted an EA created of this strategy, so that it would catch these signals and trade them while I'm sleeping. Due to my location by the time that I wake up I have already missed half of LO and a lot of movement.

Well on a good note my UC trade is still active and +15 pips and holding.

I wanted to ask how can I set up the EA to work only for one exchange rate every time I choose?
Specifically , a transaction at a time and only for it excgange rate.

I'll start monitoring this and most likely close before market closes today, no holding over the weekend.

I was looking at today's general USD weakness and CAD strength, plus I did not see any support nearby so it was good confirmation of more room to fall.

Reason for closing, its near end of the week and things are slowing down, 20 day ADR is hugely overextended at +176%, and I noticed a pullback on S38.

Can you please tell me how was you able to move out the chart from the background? When I put EA on the chart it is always visible on the background. What did you do in settings to make it go away? Thanks
