I can't make recommendation, my broker's platform froze yesterday for 30 minutes.
so many options out there, whether you want to pay commissions for lower spreads, or not, deposit funding options etc....
what I did was search for forex rebates, and I choose a broker through one of those companies, and I get monthly cash back.
they show reviews, average spreads etc. as well

I don't think,that your spread for particular pair is high,especially if you don't pay commission.
My broker has 3 types of accounts.
Basic - fix spread nzdcad is 14 pips ,no commision,always.I don't use it.
Standard flexible spread nzdcad average 6.5 ,no commision
and Pro spread nzdcad average 3.5 and commison 3.50 per lot one way
I use only last only,only EURUSD is cheaper on standard.

So your spread is pretty fine for gorilla trading and you have to realize,that this pair is not suitable for scalping and with gorilla,you are not scalping.

40 pips pullback, and tp2 reached, +63 in pocket
