Hi Chris,
This is still something I'm not sure about and comes up a lot.
In your E/G example, whenever the price touches the 30ema, the 4ema is below the 15, so that should not be a VS. The emas don't line up again until price moves outside the 15 which is well away from the 30....so not a VS. If it IS a VS, then price could be 15-20 pips from the 30ema and that doesn't seem right.
Your thoughts on this are appreciated.
Cheers!

I believe CM7 stated that we need a maximum of 10 pips from 30 ema +/- from the high/low of a candle.

As far as the charts I posted, they are valid VSs because I wait for the candle to close first. This does mean in certain instances the entry will be away from the 30ema.
I wasn't comfortable just placing a limit order at the 30ema, I like to have the candle close first. This entry method was validated, early on, by CM7

If you look back 5 candles on the two charts from today that I posted you will see what I mean. On both of these charts I would have entered earlier than the 5th candle back, which would have also been where a limit order would have triggered.

Chris

Hello Detto. Sorry but can i ask a newbie question?

For your EUR/GBP trade that you are still in, did you manually close and reenter again?
Cause from the initial entry, the 4x15 twice and we are suppose to manually close the trade if that happen is it not?

sorry once again if this was a stupid question
thanks

Entry Rules for Buy: (Tuesday - Friday)

1. Today's pivot is bigger than yesterday's Pivot.
2. All EMA 30,15,4 positions are above Pivot .
3. Must be prepared in front of a laptop from 07.00 Jakarta time.
4 Entry buy if the price returns to EMA 30.
5. The target is R3 but this position can be closed if the last 4 candles cannot penetrate upwards while the New York market is immediately closed.
6. Stop loss is 30 pips and you can Exit if EMA 4 crosses Ema 15 down.

Based on rule no 6, you can close the position

Disagree Bro.
GBYJPY is NOT suitable for Gorilla trading; it gets special treatment and Cm7 makes those calls.
Also, if this was NOT GJ, the emas still need to be BELOW the pivot because today's pivot is lower than yesterday's.
Hope this helps.
