Cable. it has been a slow day so far.
a bit indecisive but a few points to be made.
I personally would of just stuck a couple of counters plus a trade to take 55 or what ever,
We have the rest of time to claw back.

Sure, everyone to their style. But like I said bud, could not even if I wanted to ... they will not let me in the prop firm, I am not even allowed to stick in an opposite order if in a position, meaning no hedging allowed. Good think there are more approaches to the market and hedging does not really fit me anyway ...

i am surprised the UK do not do that as countering/hedging done right is all money in the bank.

if a range is too small ie 1 to 10 this means uncertainty and liable to whip.
If i have a range less than 15 and one end fails i will make the opposite end an imaginary 15. (which i have posted in the past)
so 20 is in my opinion and with stats good to play with.

Just thinking out loud here. If one countered today at 08:00 M15 bar, they would be -21 points on the 1st trade, when countering with the 2nd trade. On the 2nd trade, they would make +50 points and get out. Then they wait for the 1st trade to ripe, which may take a while and would require a bigger bank. So far so good?
Buy low, sell high.

very close lol.
1st trade long failed , so -21 and we put a counter on, this short counter failed , so -21 and we put a counter on.
that is it at its simplest.
we would of adjusted the lot size and yes, we would of been in profit.

edit... do not forget i would of had extra pips banked from previous trades to help off set this fail

1) If one were to start from scratch, what should be the lot size in percents? 5%, 2.5% or something else?
2) How should the lot size be adjusted in counter trading? Double it?
Buy low, sell high.

Hi All

This is going to take some believing.
My broker has given me all my money back.
They have even put the trades that I had back on.
EUR/JPY 40pence sell, and EUR/JPY 40 pence sell
It has just happened in the last ten mins

your lot size has to be a very small percent of your bank.
As long as you make %%%% it does not matter the size of the bank.
Small amounts will grow.

I think that's right. But today was pretty ugly. If you did not put in a sl or have a counter strategy as Billy does, you are going to get crushed. So either Billy's counter or think about where the trade has gone wrong before putting it out there ...
