Just remember , i posted the adr quite early and i did it so people can look at it whilst the markets are closed.
Like i said once that 00-00 4 hour bar closes on Monday we shall then add and minus 152 from the High/Low to show the adr.
Then of course , throughout the day the adr will be adjusted ...

following this thread on daily basis for years now, following Billytt,Lem and Claudia "systems" i can tell you the success is 20% the system 30% the Money management and 50% the mindset, so we need to choose carefully the system with the mindset that fit you the most ... for me after years of testing i can tell you Claudia system is the one that fit me the most.
billytt and lem systems are excellent but i don't have the right mindset to use them.

You are correct with mindest.
i prefer to ride motorbikes but i love being driven,
i would have an Audi TT before a Porsche (or majority of them).
A lot of the way Claudia trades i would struggle with and same with Lem.
Having said that, i have never looked into their methods 100% because i have my own method..
It is all to do with understanding and how you are as a person introvert/extrovert/ a doer/ risk taker/ etc and of course mindset.

edit.....i do know wine bar/pivot break though lol... (more stats. yaaaaaaaaaaaaay 10/10 for Claudia..

That's a hugely important lesson learned, SB.

You can wish all you want that you were a certain trader / personality type but in reality although you can force fit yourself, as time goes on you will never enjoy your trading as the grind of low-level stress working in the background will be your eventual undoing.

As I have noted before, I came from the world of running very high time frame methods and I was basically running a set and forget. That suited me just fine. I could get away and go climbing or racing or work on my writing, or whatever.

It wasn't until I went out on my own that I realised I didn't like it at all. The reason I had been so comfortable was that I wasn't using my own money, I was on salary / percentage on a huge account.

When I was on my own horse, I couldn't stop myself checking how things were doing. I was disciplined enough that I didn't succumb to tinkering, I still ran the methods perfectly and it all worked just as well but (and here's the key) I wasn't enjoying it any more.

That's when I flipped my game completely and became a scalper.

I could make the same amount of money in a minute fraction of the time.

I loved how I was so much less at the mercy of the market - one of my pet hates has always been giving back profit to the market as it flowed (though that is also where I began my love affair with countering / hedging) - and if I'm honest, I loved the cut-and-thrust if it, the speed.

This meant that once again I was able to find free time when I wanted it but this time the money was also already in the bank, not floating around in an open trade.

Believe me, this was all as much of a surprise to me as it was to anyone else, as I was always seen as a Steady-Eddie type trader, not swashbuckling at all. So much for that, lol

All of this self-discovery takes time. You need to ride the different horses before you can tell which one suits you (had to get a horse reference in here at some point!).

The great thing about all that is that although one style of trading may not suit you, you still have the knowledge base built up and all of that goes towards your understanding of how price moves and the markets work at many different levels.

I can still trade my old style (in fact I am revisiting my old concepts elsewhere recently) and it's always handy to be able to do so.

May I asked what methods you were using swing trading? I am asking because I used set&forget quite some time but did not see how to make money there. 1 percent a month was the best I could get over a longer period there.

good post Lem....i have taught people to trade and all have excelled except one....
He thought too much. lol.
My main issue is to get them not to think. nor over trade.

look at Brexit, one piece of good news for Mrs May and £££ will go through the roof yet all our/my bias is for the negative news to ensure the drop. no trigger no trade.
i have spent thousands of hours chart watching and i admit this gave experience as to what to expect at times.

Absolutely. And probability is high that retail is wrong again betting on something big there. How often have I seen it ... and how often did I get it wrong myself until I stopped wishing for anything

I was never a Porkie fan but I had a play in a Panamera last year and was hugely impressed.

It is the four door tourer and shouldn't work but strangely it does.

We would be given a directional bias on whatever pair we were to focus on by those monkeys who specialised in that side of things and then use the prop methods we had available to find the best price entries.

Usually these would involve trading from one zone to another. Supply + Demand trading in a form.

I can't say much more than that but it kind of ties into bubble trading that you see now.

The money was maximised on the pullbacks and in effect, once you entered the market, you were never ever out of it again.

One had to make use of positive swap as well.

first... i am unable to post a chart but i can post Nos.
Cable at 06-28 UK TIME.

Then 00-00 4 hour bar . High was 12749.......Low was 12728... Range of 21.

My ADR based off these figures are High = 12880 & Low = 12597.
ADR range is 152 off the last 5 days ( excluding Sunday).
Hopefully we will have retrace etc so i can walk you through it.
But the High/Low of the 00-00 4 hour bar are important.
Lets see.

edit.... the mini levels on last chart are still the same.

I know the Porsche cars are beautiful but i just love the looks of the Grey Audi TT, no other colour.

Noteworthy, the low ADR is calculated by subtracting 152 from the HIGH, and the high ADR, by adding 152 to the LOW of the 00 4H bar. The bar range IS included in the ADR.
