As I have mentioned before.... My entries are rubbish. There is still a lot that I feel I need to learn. Will you redraw the great Entry and Exit I should have on my chart? And the logical reason why?

We are all here to learn. So I am all ears if there is some critic that you want to give to me. If it can help me see something to help my trades and others on the thread than that will be great.

NSH tested and adjusting stop to BE. Hopefully, a NSH can be made today or Sunday and move to ABCD completion.

it was no critic at all.. was just wondering where you got in...

from the chart you posted.. i assumed wrong, i thought you were long 2380.xxx and exited 2370 long , which was a losing trade.. i assumed you wrote the wrong price for exit..

I just reliazed i read the entry price wrong.. I was not going to bother but thought should let you know of error so newbies dont get confused.

Plan to change brokers going into 2019. Currently with Oanda, but unable to trade YM. Looking for a U.S. broker where I can trade YM and utilize NinjaTrader 8 as my trading platform.

Appreciate any input,

If you want to trade futures in combination with NT8, the easiest is: https://ninjatrader.com.

As a US citizen you can either select Phillip Capital or Dorman Trading. The fees are dependent on how you use NT. If you have a NT license, it will be cheaper.

Hi guys, i noticed mr pip always waits a few minutes past market open before he decides to trade.. as he mentioned this is due to those over night orders coming in so I believe he wants to skip the market erratic movement. How many of you place trades at market open if an opportunity fits your plan?(9:30) how is the price that you get filled at compared to your expectation?

I like to fade a strong futures rally about 40 - 30 minutes prior to the stock market open and usually close the position at or prior to the open. I now plan to use some of the tools I am learning in this thread to augment my timing.

Good day all!

Posting my trades for today. Last friday was a terrible day, took a big dip in what I had built up over the past few weeks. I figure this is one major area I need to work on - losing days - or not to lose too much on losing days to be exact.

YM 233 tick chart ... +105

Intermediate expectation was for a deep correction and a NSL, the immediate broke structure to the upside so I was inclined to go long with the possibility to reverse my position around the 61.8 of the long term. After I entered long I looked at the ES 5000 volume chart and saw that the expectation there was for a NSH and having in mind that the ES is YM's big brother I decided not to short because there was a good chance to be an unprofitable trade and I had already made a good profit so I called it a day.

Here are my (demo) YM trades for today. -19, -41, -40 and +2; total -98... Man, I suck!
I went ice skating with my wife and kids, so I traded after lunch.

2 for 4 = +110. Got trigger happy and paid the price on the 3rd trade.

So, how do you set the patterns up when you have a big move and the candles have very long shadows.? Do you treat the long shadows like any other candles?

Today's trades on the YM.
For the first trade, saw the increasing momentum downwards, but thought the R:R was good.
For the second trade, entered a bit early seeing the bounce off the minor structure, with SL above the major structure.
