Excellent stuff, as always, both Sir Billy and Lem! What else, if anything, would you recommend to someone who is just beginning to use FD?

I can Imagine they would let you if you explain the system and have all the stats in place then a showdown on demo. For a nobody like me, I can just go to the prop firm and tell them "Look, I am solid man, let me take your program with all your rules." No sense to trade the few peanuts on my own ... that said, I think traders who function that way are very rare due to psychology.

The main assumption that the majority of traders make is that a trade is a trade is a trade. You've bought so you wait till you can sell...you've sold, so you hold till you buy.

Professional traders do not think like that.

Now I too have to be careful how I say this.

An open trade is simply a moving number, up or down. If a move is in play, add in to it. Keep adding into it. Add into it some more. If however at any time that number begins to decrease, then in fact, who cares, enter in the direction we are now going. ''Add in'' again, it's just that this time, it's in the opposite direction. In among this, all that matters is the running figure.

At the small time frame end of things, all of this can happen in the space of a few minutes. At the hyper-space level, a single move can be a full day long, the add-in coming on the second, the ''counter'' on the third. It's all fractal.

Where the ''magic'' lies is in the unwinding, that is true. That is why this is the kind of trading done now by HFT algos/machines. I recently made an analogy to the way a house-fly sees the world - things move in ultra slow-motion for him but to us, it is lightning fast. The house-fly is nature's HFT machine.

The point is - yes, there is one - that what Billy and I do is no different to those algo machines, it's simply that we do it at the speed of a glacier grinding uphill in comparison.

TAKE STATS AND STATS AND STATS.
STATS OF 00-00 & 04-00 4 HOUR BARS....
If you have ideas check them too.
Check different pairs, but ideally you want the big movers/volatility.so you can get in and get out.

Lol...I actually came on originally to say that there was a possible bounce play opportunity on the DAX ...

you are wrong bud... you are a somebody and can trade.
You will get even better.
it doesnt matter about size of bank roll as long as you make %%%%%.
Start small work up to big.
i did it but i was fortunate that the margin was very slim.
the new esma rules has screwed it all up but it can be done.

So You means that if the FD says that most of the times you have three losses in a row you can put more money when you have already those 3 losses ?

more or less.
That is difficult to answer. because i would have stats on the losses.
if i had a method and it showed i had 4 wins in 10. i would trade what would be the 6 losing trades.

example, this did happen but not often...
i had 2 losing trades and i had the third trade coming up.
1st, either not trade or trade.
look at the 00-00 and 04-00 4 hour bars, look for inside bars on the daily and 4 hour.
If we are already holding 2 losses look how the counters are going. are they heading for 00/ significant pivots.
I may already have extra points in the bank to help ease a loss.

Speaking 10 year olds, i remember my daughter once read some posts on The Factory ( only person close to me who has) she was approx 8/9 .
Someone decided to post a zombie picture if i remember and she was very upset lol.
she stopped trading days later......
