Why i have that upper wick on my chart? Price didnt show that much up on your chart .. whats your server time? Mine is GMT+2
IF due to server time difference, candle shape is different ..... then how we compensate this factor in this strategy? Candle might be engulfing on 1 while not engulfing on other... :-)

December Updates

Being the last month of the year, market movement seem surprisingly volatile. During the first week of the month i traded GBP and EUR pairs at 0.05lot size while others at 0.1. But i decided to switch back to 0.1 to trade all pairs as i observed other pairs can lose as much as GBP OR EUR pairs. Bc most of the GBP or EUR pairs hit TP this month.

Do note that some months can be bad and some months can be good. Different traders have different trading style and so far sticking to fixed lot size works for me. I wouldn't get 7% profit this month if i didn stick to the lot size.

I am still observing the method and market movement. But i wouldn't do much changes to the rules. So far the results are quite profitable except for last month which i twisted the rules abit. Continue to post chart and ask qns. Most of the ans are in the thread if you have read thoroughly

I want to ask you, is it true that you determine TP at the point of 150?
Its mean you let the price touch the TP or SL without you shifting the SL? Right?

I just looked at your entry conditions, easy enough.
Maybe i may give you a suggestion.
I like to write EA's (i know, ik know).
And for a system (not profitable) i payed attention to the winning trades. What was the max DD of the winners?
So far it turns out that almost all winners had a smaller DD then the programmed SL.
I your situation, if you find that (almost) all the winning trades only have a DD less to fibo 8 (being 0 SL) , you just as well can set your SL to 7. Means same profit, smaller losses.
I will follow your brave efforts and let us know when you pay your mum back.

My server time is GMT+3...

I guess time for you to change your broker to a more legit one coz some brokers tend to manipulate to stop hunt some of their clients...

Which is your broker ? Can you suggest any reliable broker whose execution , spread, slippage is OK with no comission per trade!/lot.currently i am working with OctaFx.

A question about the entry point:
When we find an engulfing setup for a buy, do we enter on the CLOSE price (immediately on the start of the next bar, or do we set a stop order on the HIGH of the engulfing?

The strategy on this thread did not incIude using stop orders but it wiII be more profitabIe using stop orders as it heIps to confirm the enguIfing candIe signaI and aIso fiter out bad trades. A visuaI bactest wiII convince you. I'm stiII expecting your repIy to my PM pIs.

On that trade, now your stop loss would have been hit just because you did'nt use a buy stop!
