Hi all, I had seen several times my limit buy or sell was not Trigger.. Although the price did not pass through my limit By alot. Never the less, it did went through. So, I screen shot oanada and ask them. Their reply i still Dont understand. See below, : On your mobile platform, fxtrade candles are defaulted to be on average hence it does not indicate prices accurately. In order to see the executed price clearly, please refer to your desktop platform on bid candlestick and be reminded to show historical trades and orders (click on the icon beside...

You need to click on the chart where you get the different levels:hi bid, low bid , high ask, etc...there´s like 8 different ones... Oanda´s Algo, will pick the most convinient for them ...for example a Stop loss will trigger way before a Take profit...
Wellcome to forex.

{quote} If the average price low was 128.405, max spread was 15 from 5:45 to 6:00, so max buy price was 128.405+15/2 = 128.480 This is above your buy entry (128.427). Maybe your order was not filled because the price (average) went below your entry level when spread was very high (normally occurs around 6:00). If you set your chart option to show ask price and bid price, you will see if the ask price was actually above or below your entry level. Your may see Oanda historical spread here: https://www.oanda.com/forex-trading/markets/recent...

Correct, they will not show the spikes on news though...

Hi csjun,

I been asking these in the past few months.
I ask oanada and apparently when they upgrade. They did not bring your past record to the v20.
So even your Facebook or trade explorer won't show
Your past results. It was very sad if you want to show
Your good result or analyse it. Kind of shit upgrade or lazy.

Oanda eats your money for carry trades, for example, I long NZDUSD they charge me rollover interest and if I short NZDUSD they charge even more. my other brokers do not do that. you can check their rollover fee on their page, it is always in there favor.

Reminds me of the old flipper maschines, you would shake them and they would "tilt", lock, and you would see your ball dissapear under the force of gravity. Only OANDA does the shaking for you..("customer service").
The only reason I stay with them is they are the only ones offering free lots.

I thought about switching to currency futures also earlier this year, opened a demo with Amp futures. the leverage is better than if your in the U.S. (1:200) and its one of the futures brokers with lower deposits think it was $2000. I liked using multicharts they had , but ended up staying trading spot for now . Alot of my trades are longerterm so the margin increases in futures if you hold through close . there is also ninja trader , you may be able to trade both with them mite have to look into it.

{quote} You can start with as low as $1 with Oanda. And, yes, they do have a live chart. Nonetheless, Oanda's charts do not contain any weekend gaps, so you'll have to be extremely wary of that. Perhaps look it up with different platforms and compared the live feeds while you live trade. I tend to do that to avoid any significant collision. But, I'll have to give credits where it's due and Oanda certainly lives up to its own name in the Retail FX industry. Good rep - Good service - Good withdrawals. Why not?

I get weekend gaps shown on my Oanda MT4 charts .
