I am not compulsive. I have had a demo account for probably 1.5 yrs and finally am going live in the next week or 2. After studying forex by reading some books, watching videos (my favorite, I am a visual learner), and reading some forums and taking some posts in with a grain of salt, and others with quite seriousness, I feel confident enough to enter live trading with an open mind, and always eager to learn more info. I tend to believe that trading forex successfully is a never ending process of learning the ins and outs of it. Make sure you are up to date on world financial news, so you are not taken by surprise. Recognize type of news that may sink or increase your odds of getting those pips. Nothing comes easy in life, including profiting in forex.
The goal of a successful trader is to make the best trades. Money is second

I can't say the forex trading is easy, in fact the forex trading is so hard for a man like me. I can't stay too long in front of forex chart for analysis. Cause i have to work in real life.

It’s not hard business only for you! You may see, a number of traders are losing money here! Around 10% traders can make regular money here! So, Forex is not easy way of money making.

If you don’t know how to manage money and risk, of course trading is a hard issue and can make you loser within very short time, so before trading it is more appropriate to ensure all inevitable part of trading.

Calling Forex trading ‘easy’ or ‘hard’ would be an over-simplification of a fairly intricate process.

I am inclined to agree. Forex simply takes time and effort to learn. It's harder for some and easier for others, no answer fits all.

It is hard, especially if you trade to make a living. But for those who just treat it as a hobby, they are the least stressed traders.

Forex is a really difficult business. To make money with forex you have to know the technique and have enough experience or you lose more than what you make.

trading is not hard if you're doing it part time but for a living you need a lot of experience and risk management strategies. you have to be very patient with your trades to be successful.

8 hours??
Surely not watching silly lines for 8 hours???

I do 1-2 hours.

It's much more mentality than skill.

More patience than knowledge.

Just need to learn!!!! When, what, how to trade.

The first 5-7 years were hard

Don't waste your time and you money. In the end, you will lose it all. Remember this. Unfortunately you will dislike my comment, but actually I'm trying to help you save your money. It's up to you, tho.

The traders who are particularly newcomers always try to earn profit without learning, and become loser when trading practically; they should trade in cent account minimum for 3 months with continuing pips school. Without learning no way to survive in here in spite of having large amount.

That does happen, unfortunately. Newbies who have never traded before open an account with the thought that they'd start raking in the profits in a few days - of course, they lose everything.

Forex trading worth it if you truly want to learn it. FOREX trading is a very statistical based trading where you need to have a LOT of discipline, track every single trade you make.

I agree. People who say it's easy tend to fall in three cathegories - they are lying for whatever reason, they are too new to know what they are talking about, they are one of those rare people who have a genuine innate talent for it and it may have really been easy for them individually. For the majority of traders it's not easy.

Learn to trade in a demo until you can show consistent profits. It's a different animal with actual money on the line. If you don't know what you're doing, you probably have better changes taking your money to a casino.

Good points. I think, if you can double your capital on demo 3-4 times and your strategy shows a steady growth- it is perfect reason to try on live. But if you will start on live only because you are on profit today- it is better to stay on demo

I couldn't have put it better. Don't start trading on a live account just because you profited a few times on a demo one. You need to see consistent good results first.
