Everything I share here are "Explanation Charts". They have more elements on it to make a point.. My normal chart has 1 MACD.. 4 trendlines and 2 moving averages: 1 dashed red.. 1 normal red.. 1 dashed blue and 1 normal blue.. the green 49 lwma and the red 8 ema..

The triangle or other elements like price levels and circled or squared areas on charts are all for explanatory reasons. Whatever I teach since this thread started will be still same with what I will be teaching after 10 years.. There is nothing more to trading successfully.

I will add that you shouldn't place any trades until we approach 1.1450 if you're short-selling. You can't win 'em all. Shorting the pair now might be good if you can hold it for days/weeks. So if your discipline is good enough, fine, short it. But be prepared for 100 points upward. Just my 2c
EDIT: this is for LT traders. Scalpers is a realm I'm not familiar with, but there are total scalper gangsters who frequents this board who can guide you for ST scalping. ATA and ENG

Let me be clear, anything between 1.1270 and 1.1450 is no-man's land. Scalper-land. If you're trend trading, don't try until these bounds are approached.

Good Evening!

I am still looking for the same a idea. 1.1200 before a bounce.

Near Term 1.1348 is a nice suppport, but if you are short do not move your stop from 1.1440, a break of that level open the door to see 1.1525. No move the stop if you are short!!!

Market priced in the hike yesterday but they were surprised about the extra rates for 2019. They expected no rates for 2019 but Powell said two more! It can't be any simpler.

Euro is at-4% negative interest rate, poor useless data coming from ALL Eurozone countries, ECB president Draghi being extremely worried and dovish, and all the economic and political unrest in Europe. Every serious investor sends his money to the US not Europe.

What resistance are you talking about? Well, I wish you success and green pips. I just hope we don't over complicate simple matters. Wait for tomorrow and this pair may spike to 1.14 and then sold off to the very bottom. 1.13 will give in again.

Kind of looks like this might go higher. Looks similar to what happened on daily chart on November 14-16

That's not true (with all due respect).

FOMC slated 3 hikes for 2019 before this meeting.

We are on the same side, man. But to say there were no hikes slated for 2019 is totally untrue. I'm just waiting for a spike-up to get short again.

under normal circumstances, markets move in zigzag due to their inner mechanism. as posted earlier today, sell orders cause price go up because market makers need to fill all orders within reasonable range to make money. this is exactly how stop losses work. average joe call it "stop hunt". the price behavior we call retracement or bounce is usually market makers attempt to dump excessive currency but if this coincide with orders along the way in the same direction, it will become a trend by itself. price can't drop if there are too many sellers and cant go up if there are too many buyers. i hope these all makes sense.

Even on Forexfactory I read that the market's expected a slow down in rates for 2019. Maybe you can Google it up. Or here:

@the bolded part, that was before now. With current selloff in the stock market, overheating and hence slowing world economy, Trump's arm-twisting antics, market sentiments changed. Powell, however, did not change.

As an aside, potential pseudo SHS on both 4hr and 1hr with the right shoulder to peak around 1.14. That's where I'll sell again.

That is a very trivial explanation but I appreciate it nonetheless. I understand liquidity and interest therein.

Don't need to google it. I'm aware of your feedback. I'm not a scalper, hence my original post that said to short anywhere near 1.14xx through 1.1450.

Doesn't change the fact that the FOMC has slated rate hikes through 2019 for some time now. What's the big deal? We're all trying to short this pair. I'm just playing devil's advocate. When everyone thinks it's going down, well then, it's probably going up first to squeeze us out.
