Having done a lot of skydiving and abseiling, I think that the people in that video are foolish and are blissfully unaware of the dangers that they play with.

this is precisely my point, but isnt this what traders do, facing danger/risk?

this is the kinds of things that i watch to desensitize myself to the fears of trading.

even more dangerous than those kids that climb tall buildings, this guy is simply brave.

What those guys are doing in your video, in trading terms, is trading without a stoploss. In other words, there is no backup plan. As traders we do face certain risks, but we mitigate those risk by using a stoploss! Everything we do in life has some kind of risk attached to it, but we use our heads to arrive at a calculated risk AND we employ a backup plan (stoploss) so that we don't end up with all of our eggs on one basket....which is foolish!

In over 1100 skydives I have had to use my reserve parachute (stoploss) once only......and that's why I'm here right now. I made a mistake packing my main parachute and it malfunctioned. My 'stoploss' saved my life. If you are ever in that position, believe you me, you WILL be glad that you used a stoploss!

Don't confuse bravery with stupidity.
