I researched many charts and decided that the bar after the pin bar is also of great importance. In most cases, the price immediately goes in the right direction. But if that doesn't happen, I prefer to close the trade. What does your experience say about this? Thank you for communication. I really like this thread!

Aleks sometimes price break hard and never came back. This is called momentum and if often seen on A++ setup. About closing the trade if the price doesn't break hard is everyone decision. Only with the time you will tell what it's the best for you

Hello! Today I looked at the charts and saw the pin-bar on the eur/nzd chart. It's good PPZ? I paid attention to this pin bar because there is a PPZ and also because the trend is down. His trading style is trend-following swing trading. But that's not what I'm looking for. I am interested in and understand the J16 methods. If I understand correctly, the basis of the J16 method is PPZ (trend is secondary). But the basis of the method of Rishadi is a trend (the trend in the first place). Right? I tend to believe that PPZ is primary for a pin bar, but I still watch the trend for a secondary analysis. Trades against the trend often do not work.

Hello Mallee!!! Thank you very much for your reply! I have been trading on a demo in Oanda (Oanda has a pin bar), but my real account in Swiss Bank (Swissquote Bank SA) and in Swiss Bank no pin bar. I think it's the time difference in the terminal. Then I will then trade only those pin bars that will be visible to the two brokers.

Also I want to ask can anyone in the know. Rumor has it that Neil Fuller is a student of James 16 (He was in PF James16). Is that true?

Mallee looking good for short but if tomorrow the price draw a pinbar IMO will be a wickbar.; but if the price makes a BEOB that's a great sign of bearish action; also can be a 3rd idea for trading: buy limit around 1.655 area but that's more risky because it's a TT(touch trade)

Hello! I thought it was a good pin bar. There is support and divergence. So far, my stop order on low of the pin bar. Tomorrow I will put the stop order closer (under the left eye). J16 was your typical forex fraudster,he set up a website,charged a fee,feed BS to all the paid members,was a fantastic hindsight trader but eventually ran out of suckers and disappeared.

Aleks IMO SP500 has a larger area of PPZ; if you are still in the trade, IMO now is a good moment to put the SL at the left eye.



Tradingwithw James16 is absent for a long time; Mike(MBQB11) was leading the group but he left in 2017- you can find him of twitter(Michael Bozzello)

Edge540 no one said that you need to join the private forum. I was never member of the PF. I read this thread from page1 to this page and i find things that are priceless. I still remember that in this thread Mike always said that is better to stay in the free forum for 2-3 months and if you like you can join the PF. But everyone has his one opinion and we can respect that as long is with arguments and without strong language.

Hello Florinellz! I decided to close this trade when I saw the opposite pin bar. I am looking for such transactions as usd / pln. When the price immediately rises or falls. My main task is to quickly close losing trades. A small loss as the SP 500 will not ruin me. Due to trades like A++ (as in usd/pln) I will be in profit. I want to wait for the trade when the price immediately go to my side. So far I have closed two trades with a small loss and one with a good profit. As a result, I'm still in profit This is my first month trading pin bars

Aleks in USD/PLN neither one of those bars are pinbars. First looks more like a indecision bar(doji) and the second one the close in not in previous bar
If i can give you and advice: open demo account with 2 brokers or more and apply different method of exit the trade( for example in first account apply the momentum type that you said here; in second a different approach and so on); after 3 months go back and compare the accounts( win/loss ratio; growth; max. drawdown) ; after that you will know what it's best for you

Hello Florinellz! Thank you for your comments! I from Russia, and we have forum "PriceAction.ru". On this forum I learned about the pattern "price pivot reversal" (PPR). PPR is similar to PB. If this pattern is in the right place he's very strong. The tail in this pattern should be at least 60% of the daily range. However, the closure may not be within the last bar. This pattern works no worse than a pin bar in the support and resistance zones. Anyway, this is just my observation. And I'm testing it on a demo.What do you think about this pattern? Perhaps you knew about this pattren before? About getting out of the trade. I think I'll take your advice. My best regards!

P.S. On this charts are not perfect setups but just an example of the PPR pattern.

I also remember James or Mike's post. They said that the location of the pin bar on the chart is much more important. In this case, the pin bar may not look perfect. If I understood correctly, the ideal pin bar in this branch is considered to be the one with a tail of at least 70% of the bar range. And the closing of the bar does not go beyond the previous bar. And the tail should stick out as much as possible. This is exactly the pin-bars!

Aleks of course that the most important part is the location; also you are right about the "perfect pinbar"; About PPR i don't know what to say; i tend to stick with the PA bars that i learned here( pinbar, BOUB, BEOB, DBHLC, DBLHC)

Florinellz Thanks for your feedback! For me it is very important! I do not trade these patterns (BOUB, BEOB, DBHLC, DBLHC), because they (BOUB, BEOB, DBHLC, DBLHC) seem less reliable to me. Aleks IMO it's ok to trade also the other PA bar than pinbars; look at AUD/CHF H1, IMO price is in a box; i look for PA at the top or the bottom of the box; if i want to trade the breakout of the box, i "need" a different PA than the pinbar( BOUB,BEOB, DBHLC, DBLHC)
but if you think that the best for you it's to trade only pinbar, than you should trade only pinbars.
like i always said before: if you think there is a good trade and you are comfortable with the risk, then you should take the trade
