Normally it would be a Buy setup, BUT, the H1 TMA is at "THE TURN". That means it has reached the high point in the cycle and it is turning down from the upper band of H4. This area is the most dangerous one in this system. I generally stay away here. This happens in H1 TMAs and lower. Large drops can happen at THE TURN. It is not worth the risk to take this trade.

The RSI is not part of the system because it's use is very subjective. I do use the RSI or the TDI at the turns for confirmation by looking for divergences, but only at these turns. It is not useful at any other point. Because of its subjective nature, I decided to not include it in the system. When scalping with lower TF TMAs, I only take trades at the turns and only with divergences present.

Remember: This is for experts in xTMA only!

Would you be able to explain "trailing the low/high of the previous H4 band"? I don't quite get it. Do you mean moving the stop so that it's equal to the position of the centreline each candle?

Another great day on the intraday trading level yesterday . with multiple setups on both the Pound Yen and Pound Dollar ....
I am demonstrating how effective the TMA's can be IF correlated correctly with the most important part ,, which is PRICE ACTION ,, which what i call TARGET TRADING ,,,, which i do based on the 15 mnt ,,, 1 Hour and 4 Hour charts ,,, which is the BASIS of MY trading ! ! ! !
The TMA i am displaying here are what is used By the whole family here , EXCEPT ,,, i have fine tuned it to my theory and approach that i apply in my style of trading ,,
The reason i have done that is to demonstrate the importance of what Uncle AL keeps drumming in ,,, and that is ,,
One MUST do the study and testing ,,, which takes time to master ,,, as it is not important the settings used as much as ,,, one doing the hard work ,,, and tailor making the TMA settings based on THEIR PERSONAL findings ,,,
Please keep in mind ,,,, the TMA setting i ALWAYS use on my charts are NOT what i am showing here ,,,, as i do NOT display my charts publically .
Also ,, i do NOT use any indicators on my charts ,, as it is totally PRICE ACTION BASED .
The setup shown on the attached chart ,,, IF traded correctly with the right loading in a basket style trading ,, would deliver well well over 100 pips in just a 22 Pip bounce off the bottom ,, and ,, in less than 15 mnts ,,,,,

For my understanding its non repaint. But therefore its no TMA anymore. Maybe do some research on Mladen and TMA on the web. The real TMA has to do "repainting". Its recalculating back the last 50 bars with every new bar. Thats because of its formula.

On this COG indicator another thing is that there is used the cog formula with TMA. So its not what Al uses. Anyway could work too i think.

I know you recommend H4DW sequence but what about H1H4D?
Do you consider it too risky?
I would like to be more engaged in the market and afraid that with H4DW you can have maybe just 1 or 2 setups a month.
Please give me some feedbacks about these sequence when you have time.
I'm trying to find the right balance between trading and work.

H1,H4,D1 is excellent and you will get many more trades, but you have to be careful with H1 at The Turn. See post 15,162 for information on this.

You can trade the turn to a centerline exit and you should be safe. An H1 trade at the turn will rarely reach the opposite band. For all other setups with H1, you can trade normally.
