Evaluation of pipfinite Trend Pro EA Results

Attached the ffcal file, which you need to be able to run the EA with news filter; put it into your indi folder.

I think I have to say something about this thread and the development of the EA:

Actually it was just intended as an experiment, to find out how the indicator, which is being sold in the mql5 market and has a lot of reviews, will look like automated.

A bunch of people was interested in this, me too, and so I created a first thread announcing the coming of the EA.
In that time I was not a commercial member, and actually I did not intend to be one, but since it was an EA based on a commercial indicator, Twee - founder of ff - said it either has to move to commercial section or gets deleted.
However, since the first thread was not adequate to the terms & conditions of ff, it went to recycle bin, and I founded this thread.
Actually, as I said, just for evaluating and testing the EA, sharing the results and lining out best input parameters.

After creating the 2nd thread my status changed from free to commercial member, which I first did not really understand;... but it's fine to me.
If this is necessary to share and check the results of EA...

Since I brought up some time in testing the EA and modifying it, my opinion is that it ain't the most profitable EA that you can have.
Yes, it performs well in trending times (pairs), but as we all know these times can be over faster than you think.

I attach here again the 'best' results I could gain with the EA (this is the previous version, actual version should perform a little better):

as you may have read above I stated, that I have already stopped the development of the EA.
In my opinion it does not perform that well that it would make sense.
Hence I do not have any statements, investor passwords or what ever...

I clearly stated that the above shown bt-results are the best bt-results I was able to make, and that performance during trending phase is good, but bad at ranging.

But there are still people out there, and no matter what you tell them, that want their pipfinite trend pro indicator become automated, or are just interested in backtesting it with different inputs.
These are the people I offer the file to...

It does not perform that good, right?!

What people do not get is that there can't be an indicator out there, that is so good that you just can make an EA on it and have a robust system that gives you several wins without loss.

As far as I know the indi uses some sort of hull moving, and for measuring the % win-probability a volatility indicator. If volatiliy is high, %-probability increases, if it is low, it decreases.
So this is it, and it tells us, that it is clearly a trend indicator. But ranges occur often enough to destroy all win-rates.

One more thing: There are market conditions out there, when the big players and even 'the market' himself cannot predict or assume where he is going.
So, if this is a fact, how can we think that an indicator can lead us this way?!

I am right now developing an indicator, which is also very good at giving correct direction at trends, but who is also able to give two opposite signals during range-movement; the one Support or Resistance Level which get then broken shows the right direction [outbreaks are the most efficient way of trading].

As for the price, I don't know exactly where the range will be, it will depend on the demand.

In the meantime, please put the EA file into your mt4 EA folder, and restart the mt4 terminal.
Doubleclick on the EA to open the input parameters, and just close them again.
Afterwards a second window will pop, telling you your off. registration name in quotes ' '
(it may differ a little bit from your name you are used to, because of brokers admin).

Some questions occured people ask me frequently, so I want to answer them here:

1-What is the price?!
It's 25$. Regarding that you would have to pay some 50$ for an average EA based on this indicator, and minimum 70$ for as many features, I think it is a decent price.

2-Will you give any updates in future?!
As mentioned above, I am not going to make any updates here.

3-Do you use the EA on your own?!
For my needs, it is not consistent enough, but I understand people that are still interested in this EA, either to find out best settings for manual trading (via backtests) or for live trading.
As I explained on top of this page, the development of the EA was started as an experiment, to find out how the indi performs automatically.

4-How long will you distribute the EA?!
As long as people are interested in it.

5-How many activations can I get with one payment?!
Three. But please be aware, that the passwords you will get for these accounts will look like this: 49FIG-I7spx/wRDjf5ZT= and that you will receive them as an jpg image. I cannot translate the password for anyone (and any account) into letters. So if you are not comfortable with it, just leave it.

Hi all has anyone tried tweaking the Pipfinite Indy filter and profit factor settings for higher % results ?
I personally like period 6 and profit factor 1.5...
Brings a lot of the success % 's to 80 + percent...
