Hey DJ, I just noticed on your chart from Aug 15th there was also a steep, almost identical, up move, which then went higher. Not saying this one will continue but worth noticing. Cheers!

djvanryan, I agree. The Euro is doing a corrective ABC after that most definite 3 wave down, easily visible on the 4H chart. It looks like it is finishing up leg A, might hit a double top first but there no momentum at the moment due, I'm sure, to Brexit. I have an entry short at 1.1469 but it might not get that high. I had a smaller short trigger at 1.1450 which I will just hold, because it is due to start leg B of the ABC correction soon. My target retrace level is about 1.1350 (not quite 50% of the whole move up, but there is a lot of support there) but I will keep an eye on it, in case it doesn't want to go down that far. A 38% retrace to about 1.1370 might be more realistic, since it was such a strong move up. This has been such a boring morning, I think stepping away from the charts today is actually the thing to do. Not even any oscillating for scalping today. Boring! And boring usually just gets me into trouble.

Still in uptrend.

I expected a sell off on Friday. That did not occur so there is no need for caution as the movers took profits without losing significant profits.

Time for me to look for dips to buy if I am going to trade this week. I am on Holiday starting on Thursday so I am only buying if I get serious dip.

Opened short from 1.1460, SL 1.1510, TP 1.1325.
Now have to watch Brexit process. If it fails, TP will be reached easy. But after price will reach 1.14, place SL to BE.

About OANDA. Im trading many years and feel save. No problems with anomalies, fast deposit/withdrawal, good platform, easy to use. Now upgraded mobile app. Easy trade. And, yes - one of the best customer service also! In CHF case many clients got good support and understanding when other brokers wanted to get back all loses...

I also have Oanda and love them. Great service, very nice to work with, spreads are decent and if you are a busy trader which scalpers usually are, you get a slightly better spread. I have worked with I think 5 or 6 different brokers in my 12 years of trading, and I am quite happy now with Oanda. No slippage, no changing of prices.

Spreads are decent
Customer service is decent
Deposit and withdrawals are hassle free
Trading latency is good
Charts, software, all good
Very well regulated

Only downside if you are from Singapore is the 50:1 leverage cap
A 1 pip gain is better than a 1 pip loss.

If ya all remember that M1 I posted earlier ,, got a chance to walk by big cp ,, the levels I was pointing out to my bud m ,, all that shit means something traders ,,an M1 can show how lousy your entries are sometimes ,, good poke thru last weeks high now ,, see if it gets used as a shoulder area oe if it whacks this weeks R1 ,, the level i pointed out earlier was last weeks R1 ,,any rate ,,dont matter the news or the fundis it will go thru its little list of daily givens that we know it will do ,, the how far it may go ,,when the majority of it will happen ,,and when it will start slowing down for the day ,,it always comes down to levels tho ,,, ,,while above the ole M30 and hourly 200 look upwards from sup ,,below downwards ,, same shit ,day in and day out ,,,,,,as always sty green traders ,, over and out again

They were the first broker I used (I'm in Singapore too) and the service is amazing. They'd give a relationship manager that would call every week in my first month with them, walk me through the set up and use of the software, all this when my deposit wasn't exactly big (I was barely 21 years old? Deposit size was probably what most you guys make per pip).

In all honesty, spreads were crap though. Other than that, one of the best service providers I've used.
