You don't even have a TE or myfxbook nor have you established yourself as someone who knows what they're talking about even if they don't have a TE or myfxbook. So your opinion can't matter anyway in this forex industry. You can continue to troll but I won't waste my time. Well, what about an add-up @ the place of the stop?

Indeed,e.g. in a downtrend, you are being stopped out by a counter trend correction in the London session and then...............the frustration b'cse in the NY session the pips go massively in the direction of the trend. You missed out and look @ a loss.

Imagine using 10% leverage of your capital and open a 0.01 lot (pip=0.10$). So, as long as you can MONITOR your trade emotionless, instead of the stop order, let the trade run counter trend and when exhausted (in this exemple >London session) you double your 2nd trade with 0.02 lot (pip=0.20$). I am practising and improving this strategy on a 250$ account. To be consistent and profitable takes thousands of trades. I am practising and improving this strategy on a 250$ account. There is a reason why the disclaimer "past performance does not guarantee future results" exists.

Back testing is just another waste of time to give traders the illusion of security.

reality is hard my little eco problem trader?
that you have no money is a fact.
that you are a bad trader is a fact.
that someone going to work has more money earned same time, than you have in many many many hours more in trading, is a fact..... so you in real lost much money because of opportunity costs,.. on the end you are a loser by trading even after your little money won... and you are not alone, .... many beginners forget to calculate opportunity costs (no performance calculation is fair without a opportunity cost calculation of risk free going to work in same time when you would have not traded or all learned) , and so call themself winner by being loser at the moment (cant speak about future, only the moment....)... reality is hard, but living in a dream land and ignore reality is stupid!
that you only trade very small account with only martingale is a fact.
that you write misleading wrong posts is a fact,
that you are to lazy to learn basics, is a fact.

and and and...

you are a gambler, no trader... but write like you have experience, but you have not even experience from a advanced beginner.... crazy such people exist, normaly such faker like you work as scammers.

i really do not want to get involved with you too much for obvious reasons but you need to know this:
the reason hedging limits your losses does not mean necessarily that it is the same thing as SL.
You use SL to liquidate your losing position and look for other opportunity. You no longer will have an open trade. I think we agree on this.
Hedging is mainly used for either locking the profit or loss and wait until market conditions change in your favor but you still hold open position(s). you are still in trade.
You can also use hedge by doubling or tripling the position in opposite direction if you seriously doubt on your original position, so this way you may end up with net profit.
The other way you can use hedge is lets say in a strong weekly and daily up trend you buy but market goes against you after you make an entry. at that point you hedge to benefit from this retracement and after some time close the hedge for profit. this can be repeated many times until the correction is complete. this way, you profit from retracement while staying with the trend holding the initial position.
This all makes hedging a strategy by itself, therefore stop loss in not a hedge and hedge is not a stop loss.

To receive you first have to give. What you give depends on what you already have and what you are willing to part with. Hedging is nothing more than MM through diversification as a dynamic stop. You either fully close your positions or square your risk. But it's not my job to protect other trader's money.

I think that says only for spread bets.

Spread bets are similar to slot machines, the house sets the returns so no chance for winning long term.
