I don't know if it's my general aversion to EAs in general or what but I just can't get into using it. No motivation. Maybe it's all the faffing around while stuff gets worked out. Got too much else to be going on with to be bothered. Or I'm just a lazy ****. One of those.
Anyway, as such and as noted last night, I set ranges for GU, EJ and UC. I didn't like GU at all and was very Long Biased but figured I'd use a work-around and go for it anyway.
So instead of the Simple Dreams range calculation, I used flex-boxes over a DOTS field.
Here's how they set up:
GBPUSD
EURJPY
USDCAD
I transferred those levels over and let them do their thaaaaang.

Anyway...
One thing you'll notice on the GU chart, using the old Frankenbreak BO box, is that the range is printed as 21 pips. If that had actually registered on my brain, that, along with my other doubts, would have told me to just leave it. The max range is 20 pips, right?
However, as I said, I used the DOTS set-up and that cuts out the random wick, so I got caught up in that and forgot about the 21 range.
(The fine dotted black lines are my range. Buffer 2 pips beyond).
As a result,
GU:
BUY - NA, no trigger.
SELL - Hit SL -10 (went to a huge +3 in my direction and that was all she wrote. Shorting into major Demand...Moron.
Now, some would say that hell mend ya', Lem. You didn't use it right - and that's fair enough...however, I also took EJ and UC remember...
EJ:
BUY - NA, no trigger.
SELL - Hit TP +11
UC:
BUY - Hit TP +11
SELL - NA, no trigger.
So overall, +12 pips. Fair enough.
As always, some kind of manual intervention / management would have meant you bagged much, much, more as you would have tracked the runners as they broke but what can you do, it is what it is.
