Can You Clone Charts?

Greetings, is there a way to simply clone a chart in MT4? I have a bunch of indicators put on the chart and I would like to be able to clone the chart and then change currency pairs keeping the same indicators, but can't find a way to do that. Does anyone know? Thank you.

Right click your chart, and select Template. If you save your current chart as a template, you may load it to any other chart, essentially "cloning it".

Yes. Open the Market Watch window from either the view menu, the toolbar or by pressing Ctrl-M. Drag the desired currency symbol from the Market Watch window, onto your chart. All indicators and time frame will remain intact. Only the currency will change.

If you want the same set of indicators applied to more than one currency at a time, then take the one chart you already have set up and save it as a template. You can then open additional charts for other currencies and then apply the template to those charts. Saving a template saves all indicators, but it does not save the timeframe.

Thank you for the help again. A consistent pip is one that finds its way into my account at the brokerage every day, an inconsistent pip is one that sometimes finds its way to my account and sometimes finds its way to somebody elses .

One other question about Metatrader; is there a way to adjust the time on the bars at all? I'm US Eastern Time and the time on the bars is somewhere between GMT and CET. Thank you.

Unfortunately, no. You are stuck with the time on the server from which you are getting your data feed.

So, another way to put it, is that consistent pips are uni-directional in that they can only enter your account, but never leave (Hotel California!), and inconsistent pips are bi-directional and can both leave and enter. Hmmm. I wonder if I can install a turnstile on my account?

Sorry I didn't explain the pips very well; a consistent pip is not one that is uni-directional, but rather one that is gravitational; that is, it drops into my account where it remains. An inconsistent pip is not subject to gravity and can literally float out of my account and into someone else's, thereby showing it is not subject to the law of gravity but able to both "float" and "soar" and even "bounce" out of my account. There you have it!
