So inorder not to open trade after the BE trade, I will need to set Add New Trade = True and Profit Thresold = eg. 200? So this case will only open when in 200pips profit? I mean if we don’t want to open new trade , we just set to a ridiculous profit pips?

Yes. if you set a hug pip threshold then the EA will only open one trade per detection of all requirements.

IF you see it as something needed, the BE condition can be included too.

One more question, the Set_BE=onOppositeSema is depends on the SemaDots=Only_3s then only set BE when 3s appear opposite?

what version is that?
That input is not in the latest version and I don't remember in which version it was.

From what I remember, any dot would trigger the BE.

EA and INDICATOR UPDATES

EA v63 and Indicator v34

I finished updating the Freebie Indicator. Basically made sure that all function were working. The only part I could not test is how it handles getting the current candle signals. What I mean is that when you launch the indicator it will go thru the all past candles on your chart and print the buy/sell arrows when it finds the conditions for freebie. BUT after that it has to grab the NEW current candle and do the same thing but just for this candle. In the past I had not seen if this worked, I assumed it did.
Anyhow if you do use it please let me know if the indicator is able to work real time and print the correct candles as signals appear.

So looking again thru the code there was one thing I adjusted...
When determining the failed pivot points, the EA ensures that the candle being tested is with the same color as the trend. Well I took a look at the rules on pg 1 and it does not say if the candle that failed the pivot has to be of any color. SO I REMOVED that RESTRICTION. You might see more trades now.

I hope to have more time to work and finish this almost DECADE Ole project LOL . This is so EASY compared to CCFP Monitor LOL...

I have test it for a few week and look at how it works. Accept for some bugs. Itbus quite a mechanical system for entries. So only important part is the exit. To let the winner run as ling as possible.

2 suggestions:

1. Prevent signal on a doji candles. As it can be either direction. Even if the HA color meet the requirement, it is still safer to skip it.
2. Take profit on opposite signal. I am using sema 3 dot as signal entry, so it will be good to have TP at opposite 3 dot sema signal and then open trade on opposite side. This can let trade run to maximise profit.

I am running live and demo with same setting and they match 99% except for little slip on the live. Previously using the 15min but too many fake dots. Now using 1hr chart is more quality entry.
Trading with HA and semaor is one of the best method in trading. So I hope you can still spare time in this EA besides your currency strength basket trading EA.

What are these that have been spamming on the experts folder? Does it slow down the system?

Sorry, that's debug printing... No, it won't slow it down, what will happen is that your log files are a little large.
I thought I had removed all of them. Ok Updated EA, found the print and removed it. Here's the updated copy.

BTW please share your set file and explain your setup. Would appreciate it and would like to also run statistical tests on it.

NO problem. This is such an easy EA, that adding the suggestions you mention is a breeeeze .... BTW, I beleive that the other EA is DONE. I will just add some "dressing" to the display, like for example having the TP and SL on the screen so it can be changed REAL time instead of having to go to the input window. Other than that... I think I AM DONE.

SO here are a couple of questions.
1. What is considered a doji? How long should the wicks be? How tall should the body be? I know these are trivial questions but the program has to have some sort of ranges for these things. For example. Doji body = 0 pips, Dijo wocks from 4-7 pips on each side per X TF and then x-y pips on another TF. etc etc..

2. What do you mean you are using 3 sema as an entry? The EA uses 3 sema/failed pivot point/stoch cross to determine an entry. Do you mean to say you wait manually for a major 3 sema dot to appear and then run the EA?? Please elaborate on what you mean.

3. When you say "TP at opposite 3 dot sema signal and then open trade on opposite side", which 3sema dot are you referring two? The MAJOR one right? Just want to make sure that I understand which of the 3 types of semafore dots you are referring too.


Please continue testing on H1. I am curious to see how the new version handles the H1 TF.

Ok, get me some clear answers and I'll update the EA so we can make more $$$$ lol.

FOund a bug. The EA open trade on sema 2 dot instead of 3.

I attached my set file.

As for these suggestions, I think I will let it run for couple of week first before we change anything since it is still profitable. After the few weeks, we could possibly see where to adjust in order to maximize profit and minimize losses.

Thanks for the updated EA and adding the sma(s). Quick question, please correct me if i am wrong.... the sma(s) are applied to the corresponding higher timeframe right? so for 1h, it will be 20sma on 4h?

I havent tried the close trades feature but I think its a useful addition. Eventually we could think of moving to a dashboard format and manage trades as a basket.

Yep all the UseAutoTrend selection are applied to the corresponding upper timeframe.

Somewhere in the thread Dredding mentions the TFs... I forget which post.
That post and what we were developing back then was used in the code.

Thank you, I will try to dig out the post. The EA looks for different corresponding higher timeframes for different TF. For example, for 15m it looks for 1day; for 4h it looks in 1w, however for 1h it looks for 4h. is this what you referring to as Dreddings recommended TFs?

On a different note, i was never able to make the indicator versions v31 and v34 work. Does it have additional dependencies. i have checked 'Allow DLL imports'.

OK in order to get a better idea of what happens. Please download v63 again. I added 3 lines of print statements that tell us EXACTLY what the EA detected after you had made your choice. The print statement talks about detecting high or low 3Dots... so if u decide to test with ALLdots then where ever it prints 3Dots that is just anyDots. Now don't be concerned when seeing that one 3Dot has a value and the other does not. That just means that the particular 3dot was found and the other is not on the same candle.

Let me know what you see... It should not of happen cause you had the right selection.. The only thing that it might be is an improper refresh of the 3sema indicator. I have notice that when u have other indicators on the 3sema indicator and u remove one of them that the 3sema indicator blanks out. You have to refresh it to get it back on the screen. If that had happened then it would make sense why you got that signal. At that point the EA would just see 0s thinking that it needs to get all dots. But again that would nto be the case could then you would see 0.0000 for the value of the dot.

And what i do is on every candle I go back and get the last ten candles of the indicator. So the by the time you get a signal the EA already has the last 10 candles which either have or don't have dots.

It seems like Indi V34 does not work when after loaded on chart - same same as Zorran stated.

I noticed that the v63 EA does open trades on other dots when set to 3C. Didnt see this with other versions. I will check the new version you uploaded.
