I used to work the Japanese desk. Never lost the habit.

If I'm writing, I always bag first drafts in the small hours, then do the edit in daytime.

Probably something to do with left-side/right side of the brain and light levels.

I will put my serious hat on for you...

If I am scalping specifically (as opposed to scalping off any method at all), then I will use micro Supply+Demand Zones, c/w pullbacks to and from ma trigger. I will run that on m1, m5 and m10 charts. Occasionally the m15 if it sits up and begs, though I will mostly use that to identify possible exits or add-ins rather than entries.

I am looking for momentum.

I do have prop software that I err...acquired at some time in the past, that gives me a bias.

I have been trading mostly equities and index ETF's for the last year or so. Much less time consuming so I can enjoy being retired.
As for a brain, You are quite correct buy the pullbacks in an uptrend and sell the retracements in a downtrend is about as far as anyone needs to think

Left handed or Right handed ?

Turnip is left handed writing or painting, using a gun. Either foot playing football or rugby.
Right handed for throwing ball or other object. Sometimes ambidextrous; for example, art painting/football but dominant side is left I suppose.

Result - A sometimes confused Turnip.

But he tries hard -just not hard enough.

What a weird day. Will be interesting to see whether we get some nice Simple Dreams tonight to send us into the weekend.

Speaking of the weekend, my other half is taking a long one and so it's unlikely that I will be seeing much early morning trading for tomorrow and Monday.

I'll be in on other stuff hopefully, though tomorrow, as it's a Friday, I wouldn't be doing much of anything anyway.

If nothing else, I will be keeping an eye on things from over the garden fence
