Oanda showed a hell of a daily bullish pin. Was gonna enter, but NOOOO. Its past the low of the pin now but showing signs of life again. Still viable?

It was better to long gbpusd that has a long setup but I preferred an higher close of that buob... I closed eurcad before the weekend.

I have been going over this thread for the last few months. I read the summaries, tracked down other posting from Wizard outside this forum, and went through quite a few pages.

Really interesting thread, and I decided to put the methods here into action. I looked at the double bar low high close (and its opposite) as well as pinbars. I find something interesting.

I play this game where I go back in time to a market that I do not know very well, and scroll forward one bar at a time. I 'trade' and track my winners and losers, and PnL. I do not know what will happen, so there is a sense of paper trading.

I have found that something begins to happen in late 2013 and early 2014. I begin to get stopped out almost all the time, and usually stopped out the next day or day after. Watching this play out is really head scratching. Say I play a pinbar in 2011. Well it might try to go in the direction of the trend for a few days and fail, or it might churn higher slowly...it might do a variety of different things. But take those same trades in 2014 and beyond, and the next day the pinbar trade will trigger, and then it will slam down to your stop.

Has anyone else noticed this? I have notice this in oil, the pound, individual stocks, you name it. I am still researching.

I'm short EURUSD because of fundamentals and DXY technical breakout of the resistance

Tarigal a j16 setup for us constitutes 2 elements:

1. PA bar( BUOB, BEOB, Pinbar, inside bar)- the PA bar must have the close in the first 25% of the bar
2.Location- swing low/ swing high, PPZ area, BRN, confluence

It would be nice if you post some charts. In that way we can analyze them and know if was an A++ setup or C setup

I am guessing some of you take down statistics on these, which is why I posted the first comment. I could post some charts showing pinbar failures, but there is always a subjective reason why it would fail. Setups are never perfect. Besides, my whole point is that A+ setups, with confluence etc, are failing more than they used to.

I am talking about over a range of trades. Has anyone been trading these for 5+ years?
