That'll probably do me for Friday as well. If anyone is playing this arvo, remember that there is red news for both the USD and the CAD.

I'll pop in and out through the day if I can, just no trading (unless something sits up and begs )

Here’s a very simple little system/strategy I’ve been running all week on live account with high win rate. I know I’m going to regret this as the questions come flooding in but I run this on g/u only so I don’t know if it works on the Swahili Rand or whatever else.

Plan is to run live another week and if it continues the way it has I’ll ask Retina to code a basic advisor.

This is very similar to the way I day trade and nothing new but it made money last week so worth developing.

ADR and consolidation/breakout as always and low overnight volatility.

So what’s it all about ? (Hear a song Lem !)

I wait until 12.30 am to 1.00 am (not for everybody I understand) and look at the 30 min bar back to NY close looking for a tight range of up to/maximum 20. Now at this point cable will have a daily range of maybe 10 so we know it’s going to move 80 + or so.

Usual thing - buy/sell stop orders either side with a +2 buffer +10 s/l and +15 t/p (maybe 20).

Woke up this morning again +15.

Very little risk even if you get hit both sides r:r should compensate.

I’m guessing here as it's only been a week but looking at 75% + win rate with 1:1.5 risk/reward.

Sounds smart ... Tokio kicks in at the time, putting an end to the chop for some pips usually. The gaps work fine too on sunday's, but they are not that often and if you usually go to bed early, it is not worth it imo. But that range idea is something for the night guys for sure I guess ...

Not bothered about the gaps. Happy on this with Monday to Thursday 8 potential trades low risk high win rate.

Yeah, that is a pretty cool idea. Thanks for sharing, I think I have to test that too because it is pretty straight forward and logical. Also the mathematical expectancy is + theoretically.

Thanks. I'm gonna delete the gap bit from the post that's another issue you're right.

Should be easy to automate - see where we go.

Must admit that my programming skills are non existent, but able to put in those orders manually without maths faults at least lol

Would this be 21:30 - 22:00 GMT? The last 30 minute candle of the NY Session?

Thanks for the share Claudia, neat and simple means, not too taxing on my pea brain L.O.L. past my Zzzzzz time but with appx 75% win rate, erm erm, that's gotta be worth a couple of match sticks and a little wrinkle cream in my book lets see how we do.
