DislikedThank you for extended reply. When I was asking about transmutation in regard to N.Hill, I had in mind directly this: https://guardyoureyes.com/articles/tips-suggestions/item/the-benefits-of-sperm-retentionnofap You have once said that you are a fan of Pacquiao, he also practices it: http://bestofnofap.blogspot.com/2015/12/the-list-of-greats-nofap-celibacy.html I have an opinion about this topic based on my empirical research. I was wondering what are your experiences and do you see any correlation with your achievements.Ignored
And throughout the years, through meditations, self awareness, psychological training, etc... I'm very sensitive and aware of my body.
I would say, that I can feel the difference... But then again, they aren't objective scientific research and my opinion on the matter is subjective.
There are new discoveries and research on mitochondria, but I haven't seen any research of nofap links to mitochondria.
It would be very fascinating and we should get an objective conclusion on the matter.
I live by a scheduled routine.
Regarding health:
I fast 12hrs everyday. I fast 1day every 2 weeks. I fast 2days at the end of the calendar month. I fast 5days every 3months. I do a straight 7day fast every January yearly. I do nofap in accordance with my fasting routine/schedule. I've been on this routine since I was 18.
In relations to achievements:
When you are out to achieve and pursue, you need to be focused with no distractions.
You have 24hrs in a day. And you budget your time - allocate your time to what you want to achieve.
If you just mindlessly do whatever with your time, you end up wasting it and you achieve nothing.
If you want to spend time on a forum - you need a system >>>
1) only spend 15mins or only on weekends
2) only reply to certain criterias
3) so on etc...
And yes, it may sound insane; masturbating on a schedule/set criteria.
When you are in a state of flow and focus... none of those trivial things matter. Not thinking about them comes naturally.
When you are not in a state of flow and focus... you have 100 things running through your head; watch youtube, procrastinate, go play with your dog, etc..
I'm not perfect, I might only achieve my scheduled routine 80-90% of the time. But that is still 100x better than wandering and wasting time.
I ponder a lot and would run lots of mental experiments, mental debate and discussion. I would correlate that a lot of clear thinking, and most of my epiphanies and creativeness occurred during fasting/nofap.
And this is very basic principle nobody talks about >>> when you have food in your stomach, most of your blood are transferred there for production... so your brain is secondary in the priority list at this point. You won't be able to think clearly because you don't have much blood in your brain.
Side note: It may sound stupid and believe it or not, I think so much that I can lose 1kg a day, just thinking.
And regarding the sperm production, despite the lack of objective research evidence, the theory sounds very valid; that your body will require the energy to produce those sperm.
The only closest research I can relate to the debate and argument are the research done on plant seeds.
Research shows that the plant puts a lot of energy into making its seed. The seed are the reproduction of the new generations.
The research shows the seed itself are packed with nutrients as it carries the genetic materials to pass on.
On that research alone is a perfect example of life.
Think about it, nature wouldn't half ass its production to the next generation. It would do its best to give the best quality as possible to pass on the genes. Because if it didn't, then the next generation would be compromised.
Despite all these, they are all hypothetical theories, it sounds very plausible backed with very limited evidence.
Just like Marie Curie saying "Hey guys, there are electrons that should exist". And everybody is like "No one has seen an electron and we don't have a machine to see an electron... your theory is bogus." ... Supposedly smart scientist, but weren't able to connect the dots.
The success I have in my life was due to me able to connect those dots where most people struggled.
The other day, I was talking to a disability advocate, advocating discrimination against disabled people looking for a job.
I said that there were no discrimination. The disabled person didn't get the job because the disabled person couldn't perform the job. If the disabled person was able to do the job better than an abled-body person, then every employer would hire them as it would boost production/sale/performance/quality. This is a very basic example of a clear thinking process where lots of people struggle. And it is the same story that happens in trading; very basic issues where people struggles to connect the dots.
BUT.... whatever skills and brain capacity I have was molded and a by-product of my environment; the great, successful, intelligent people I was surrounded by are the ones that influenced and changed the course of my life. If we remove my professor monk, again it will be a butterfly effect.
And I do have enough personal experience to conclude that it contributed to a degree (nofap). I would need a double blind personal study; go into my time machine delorian and redo my past and ejaculate as much as possible LOL
What is your opinion on the topic and your empirical research? I'm interested to hear.
