I hope this wonderful thread picks up soon as it used to be.

I thought of sharing with you one of the ways of how to trade any system including the THV one.

The way I trade is by analysing Higher Timeframe (key S/R, Trend Lines on H4, daily, weekly, etc..) and then trade divergences with break of trend lines for confirmation on smaller time frames. (It could be MACD, RSI, CCI, Trix, or any other indicator.) Once you identify the bigger picture, it will be the easiest thing to trade smaller timeframes because you know the direction you should be looking for. Any system you use will easily fit and give you premium signal.

In this GBP/JPY H4, we can easily (without any guessing or effort) find a strong support of which price always visits and bounces off it. and by shifting to smaller TFs, the picture gets clearer to where we can enter with the right divergence/break of trend line combo. The key is find an entry that is as close as possible to the beginning of the move with a justified reasoning. It is a trade off between entering a bit late with confirmation or earlier. Your decision..Your call.

I just have a comment please. Your are posting trades based on Harmonic patterns, and I am afraid this might confuse traders who are learning the THV system. I am a guest here for sure and you are one of the landlords. It is just my view that traders who are struggling with technical analysis might find harmonics off the topic and gives the impression that THV system is ditched out. What do you think?

I would also kindly ask you and any other trader to give us his/her analysis of the bigger picture (HTFs). If it was just M5 and M15, and a cross of Fast trix with Slower Trix, we all would have been millionaires in no time.

On weekly chart: Price touched the bottom support line for the third time. I was expecting some sort of a bounce considering this important weekly support. Some traders would just place "buy" pending orders at this level. Others would wait for a confirmation (A price filter of 10 per cent or such, or a price structure on lower TFs to place stop losses or a divergence on LTFs to confirm. All attempts are right and depends on your style of trading.

On H4, we had a double bottom and a break of the trend line (not shown on the chart). Try to put a long trend line form the swing high. Not really ideal trend line but to give some visual aid.



On M15: I put a vertical line on a possible trade you would have taken (A trix divergence with break of a trend line and a trix cross as well at the Zero point). Although I entered long before this break out I marked, but if you are conservative (which is a great thing), you could have entered at the vertical line.

The reasoning behind your trade would have been anticipating a strong bullish bounce off the weekly support. We do not know how far price would bounce off and we are not predicting the market. We just believe "Market repeats itself" and "reacts" to previous S/R zones or trend lines on Higher Time Frames.

NB: I attached MACD not to say that it is better or worse than trix but to demostrate that any system or indicator will nicely fit into your trading decision if "you read HTFs and pull the trigger accordingly. Look at the vertical line and put any trading system you like and see how it reacted at this time.

Have you lost in such a trade, you would not blame yourself because you have a methodology in trading and know letting your wins run will ultimately leave you in winning position.

My advise is go now and draw your weekly, daily and H4 S/R and Trendlines and find where would you have entered on smaller TFs based on divergences or indicators crossing and put your what would have been your stop losses and targets. What if you trade 0.5 or 1 percent of your account and split this to two or three lots.

NB: "In case you trade H4/H1 as your entry TF, sometimes the S/R levels on the entry TF are not that important and sometimes they are if your analysis is based on daily and weekly. Be flexible if there is a need. Also, some pairs are better to be traded on Higher TFs. See if this is true or not"

Find any chart and share it here and have the THV template out of respect to this thread. Let us revive the thread and read the overall context of HTFs together.

Don't be shy if you are a beginner. Gurus do not have 100 percent winning trades. Many even have 40 per cent or less winning rate and are still profitable because of their money management.If you are an advanced trader, please let others learn from you. You will be a better trader by teaching others.

GBP USD. Entered quite late. Should have entered at the vertical line.

The reason for my long bias was the daily trend line. Could not really find significant S/R zone.
On h4, we had a breakout and a strong bullish divergence
On M15, we had some PA formation and a breakout.

Edit: When I reexamined the daily chart I found a range of S/R and reattached another daily chart.
If we have waited for the clearing of the range, we would have entered late.
If we entered on the retest of the trend line, we would have entered quite early.

This is where I invest most of my time. Which level is more important. Which represents the bias. If I go to lower time frames, will the picture become clearer? and so on. It is a very subjective business for sure.

NZDCAD

Now I was not really sure of this trade and will closely monitor it.

On weekly TF, I drew a range as a support level. Price did not penetrate it deeply enough.

On Daily TF, I was thinking price has before retraced couple of times on its way down. (small lime lines drawn on daily chart to show some white HA small retracements). So may be we get couple of white Daily HA or even more if price finds real support on my weekly level.

On H4: I could not resist the divergence and found myself buying after the break out.

A previous loss on EUR/USD. Still have bullish bias to go long again.

I drew a range of S/R based on weekly and daily. Saw a divergence on H4 and entered on H1. (What do you think of the levels?)
Price hit my stop loss.

I will wait for another confirmation to go long again.

Observing CHFJPY Not trading it yet.

I need more PA on H4/H1 with strong divergence and TL break out. Let's see.

My bias is to go long "if" PA on LTF provides an opportunity.

My reasoning is that we are on daily support and am expecting some bounce for good 50-100 pips.

All is about patience. Wait, wait, and observe. It may or may not happen.

Closed EURUSD TP first lot for 80 pips. Second one is still running (90 pips) with trailed stop.
closed AUDCAD TP for around 100 pips. Two more lots still running with trailed stop. (+150 pips each)
closed two lots of NZDCAD for around 55 pips each (TP). Third lot still running (about 90 pips)
GBPUSD long still running (about 150 pips).
All are long positions.

EURGBP

On a daily support. Expecting some bounce. Entered long after Divergence and a break of range and retest. M15 helped with the entry.

GBP CAD

Bullish on Daily and weekly.

On M5, I found a setup to go long.
