DislikedHello, I would like to thank you for the post and the idea, I also agree with you that the idea of Martingale is valid, I currently have an EA that I am running based on Martingale, This EA almost broke my account recently by the brexit news in the GBP while it was operating in the GBP / NZD pair and had a fall of 3352 points. I would like to improve this EA so that it could withstand at least 5000 points, the bigger historically than I have seen so far without a reversion. I want to achive a a profit of 1% per day with this EA using low...Ignored

Disliked{quote} Good to know that you have same thoughts like few other traders here believe that martingale with hedge and proper MM can work. Thanks for liking the EA, much appreciated. {quote} Best wishes for your testing. However backtest and forward test this for enough time to get the ideal setting according to your deposit amount so that you may not lose money in live account. {quote} You are most welcome. Thanks for your offer to share the cost but thanks anyway. I am doing this for my own satisfaction and spending every week for coding new features...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Thanks man. I appreciate it a lot. I'm working on the mt5 version and also running the EA. Standard account, default settings, on EURUSD and GBPUSD. So far so good. {image}Ignored
Disliked{quote} 1000$ deposit is too little for this kind of grid EA because you don't have enough money to resist when facing huge trends. At the moment all looks good with 30% profit but you need to think about also the worst case scenario.Ignored
DislikedBacktesting to me is only use for debugging. Must keep in mind that past performance in the real test account does not reflect the future performance. If that is the case then how dare anyone trust backtest performance let alone a demo account? I occasionally use a Martingale system with $10k account with cTrader, live account. I put the trade manually and the cAlgo does the rest for me. So far it has been good to me. My key sucess to martingale is to keep the SL as tight as possible. I use 7 pips SL and TP is 7x bigger tha the SL (49 pips) Make...Ignored
Disliked{quote} I think setting total gain at 500 dollars can get it too take profit faster mayby thats too much also mayby it need too go down too 300 but that will only make 3 dollars pr basket and i am not sure how many basket you get in a week out of 7 pairs but 20-30 prhaps will make 90 dollar a week with 30 and 60 dollar at 20 of a 450 account that is not bad i think i will set it at 300...Ignored
DislikedThis EA still isn't working properly on my demo. Default setting except changed multiplier to 1.5. I have been running it for the last 3 days and I'm still at close to 0 profit. It's buying and selling and it cancels each other out lol!Ignored
Disliked{quote} Are there somebugs,in the EA i got a 15 pip loss on a 84 lot possision must be a hedge because of the stoploss on 15 pips, but it didnt open that big of a grid possision and it should had a 11000 dollar loss on the cent account its still up 2% for the week, but it looked very promising up too that loss it where up 13%....lets see if it can recover...Ignored
DislikedSuccess with Martingale & Hedge - Possible? Depends on the strategy, Martingale & Hedging are position/money management methods, they are not trading strategies. If your strategy has an edge, martingale can amplify that edge. Hedging=Scale Out (no real effect). Good LuckIgnored
Disliked{quote} I have put the Hedge from level 3 have you ever tested it hedging almost from start it will atleast dont blow account i put trailing at 20 pips and no reboom of hedge.....Will be interesting too see when moves are pretty much straight up and down it will make a killing, but in small ranges it will not...Ignored

Disliked{quote} I agree if i where too go live with this EA i would have it on a 500 dollar cent account making 50000 units, but i am currently testing out 4 different grids and there is another free one on this forum that makes lot less profit, but gets out at small pullbacks in a trend with a small profit like that CAD/CHF move at the end of last week up 170 pips and still going making a big drawdown for this EA the other one got out at a 15-20 pips pullback and started up again and are now up too 8 level and only 5% drawdown, but for this drawdown at 25%...Ignored
