Led Zeppelin “Stairway to Heaven” case goes back to trial....
A San Francisco appeals court has ordered a new trial in the plagiarism case involving Zeppelin and their famous song.

The band faces accusations of stealing its riff from a 1966 song called "Taurus."

"A federal court jury in Los Angeles two years ago found Led Zeppelin did not copy the famous riff from the song “Taurus” by the band Spirit.
But the three-judge panel of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit ruled unanimously
that the lower court judge provided erroneous jury instructions. It sent the case back to the court for another trial."

I love Zeppelin... Jimmy Page is one of my personal guitar hero.
BUT... yes there's a big but...
For example (just one of many, unfortunately!) I have played this piece for ages!
But I was always thinking to Davey arrangement and not to Jimmy "White Summer" copy.

It was not "plagiarism"... it is "Pagerism". Yes, he actually did it plenty of times.

But Jimmy Page always made a cover better than the original! Always.

Led Zeppelin II was released in 1969. (... and I love it. I bought the vinyl LP the first day with the "temporary" paper cover!!!)
