Price is trundling on. Knocking over the shallow Supply Zones in its path. Almost back at the Daily Open level.

Took 10 on gu open. Finally broke the 50, break over pivot and overnight range. It's going up yesterday's high obvious target.

D-mR1 Bo on EU, missed the PB ... slow me ... what's your SL on such a scalp for 10? Do you mind sharing? I'm always concerned about the RR.

Other side of the box - just place orders either side pre open. R:R not too good but win rate high.

I see, you are using stop entries? There are some people also putting no sl and having one sell and one buy there, but I always wondered what happens if both are triggered and you have to deal with that mess lol

Doesn't happen often. I move to b/e very quickly then take 7 to 10 on London open. Messes I can deal with had practice ! Stop entries a point or two above/below. Nothing special very simple.

Think I read something like that before at Carter's book on daytrading - the disadvantage is it needs constant nursing, putting an intraday trade with 15-20 pip sl and TP allows me to be disturbed at some times during the day. Trading is really to work with one's individual situation ...

Don't know Carter but I agree we are all different. I set targets (not pips but £) and play until I get there.

When trading throughout the day rarely use stops.

That was fun...

Got in on a long scalp off some small momo (probably too small, if I'm honest) and then got my target - then just as I am about to close, broadband drop out...

It always seems like half-an-hour before things kick back into life again - and whatever it was, price had dropped again and I'd missed my chance to close.

It was scratch-level still though, so I didn't close it out and as it turns out, it turned up again, I got my +5 and out I got.

As Claudia says, each to their own. I've seen and run with both camps. These days, I detest leaving myself at the mercy of the market whims and much prefer to keep on top of the move, every second the trade is open - albeit with The DAX, that can literally be 1 second, lol.
