Maybe by only a few pips, but still in it's descending channel. GU bang on long term circular resistance. But break up probably suggests reversal back towards 149.5 and above.

I don't know if it will go up that high. This wave C for me will top off at 148.31 - 148.67. We'll see what happens....

I think this is the end of Wave 3 of wave C. I was expecting to sell it at 148.00 but it may shoot back up there or maybe not.
If this is the end, my count is not clear at this point. I am short until 146.10 and will wait there although the 146.88 might also be a turning point. All in all, I'll be happy with a 100 pip profit on this one and will wait and see on the sidelines if the analyses materializes.
I still expect wave C to finish at 148.31 - 148.67 (Wave A is almost the same length as Wave C as a general rule). Mpt's forecast of 149.5 might materialize as an extension, but we will see.

Consider the length of the move March/April with this one thus far. They're both around 870/880. Then note the 1.618 relationship (thus far) that each of the Mar/April and August moves have wrt the downtrend move 154 ish /140 ish. (875 x 1.618) not an exact match, but within about 15 pips. . The burning question remains - is this thing back into an uptrend or not? Failure at 148 x with no extension argues the down trend remains and that the last 6 months of moves have been a wave 2 a/b/c in a descending channel. Following that idea, the channel has only ever been touched once before - at 145 in march.

Another high makes that argument less plausible and may totally negate it. On a side note, if my memory is correct, wave c's do not always run extension waves (4/5). Anyway, just posted this for your entertainment and pleasure. All wave relationships may be purely coincidental and my proposition contains lots of ifs and maybes.

Which chart are you looking at in your first paragraph? Daily?
