originally my max stop is based on # of setups taken. But i've thought about if i should do max$ loss as well. but i struggle to figure out what that $ amount is because it's just so arbitrary value.

i'll have to think more about this

signed up with tradervue journal for 7 day trial

gold level is for $49/month that includes unlimited trades and risk analysis (MAE/MFE etc.)

This journal is pretty awesome. Being able to just upload my CQG statement and have it done within minutes is a huuuge time saver. Plus the charts and reports summary is really helpful. Only problem is that I have to upload it on the day of before the new day starts. If i miss it, i have to upload it manually. CQG doesn't allow for fills report download beyond a day.

I will share my 7 day review next week and show how the reports look like. But at this point, I'm pretty much 90% sold on getting this as part of my trading cost.

To cover my trading costs I need to get 14 ticks net, which isn't bad.

total commission I'm anticipating is about $1300 with the new size. I used last month data and based on that I take average of 3 setups per day (6 contracts/setup average).

i have thought about tradovate, but then i realize not having cqg as my trade route/data, puts me into a very lonely space when i need to pair my results with 3rd party vendors for whatever reason

but i can still choose amp $1000/$2000 fee upfront if they still offer it. I can't remember how much discount i'll get, but it will be pretty significant. BUt the downside is that I have to commit the fee upfront. Maybe once I get to six figs, the cost and the commitment would be more feasible.
