Clearly it repaints but what is new....I have spent many hours trying different settings and Now have a scenario which continues to repaint because of the nature of the beast but I can live with these settings...Nothing is perfect in life.

A nice way to see is to play with the settings on a standard zigzag indicator. You can then visually see what it takes for each of the points to paint. For example what type of market moves/ replacements are required for the next leg to register or lock-in. You can even try or use the settings from the 3 or 4 step semafor indicator found on here which was made to differentiate between the different legs.

I noticed your gap trade example, not sure if the GBP/USD gap was formed on all brokers which is strange. And the EUR/GBP gap is still open. I don't trade gaps so I don't know if the trade is still valid after this much time has passed, but it is nice to take note of, thank you.
