There was a reason for those spikes ,,,, The daily is the big boys scalping chart ,,, weekly is the monthly's 2nd in charge ,, daily is just a mailroom employee to the monthly . The eur tested the breakout level ,nothing more ,nothing less ,,didnt break it as of yet ,,, above your your last shaded area one cant rule out a test of the real resistance area shoulder level of that big fat H&S on the monthly and weekly . If you recall many, many , months ago we had this conversation when the eur was rocketing up and the 1.30s and 1.40s was the big topic ,, it was mentioned the 1st pause point could very well be a shoulder area . Well a year and a half later we could be about to find out if it makes that far . Even a weekly chart gets cluttered but I know you will see it my friend , Just a note the yearly open was 1.20 ,, where does everything come to gather at. The battle is never fought at the exact high or low How many times on a daily basis do you see swings both ways only for it to settle around 8 or so pips from the days open lol. On the eur thats about the norm , even on these awesome looking trends the average is about 8 pips a day . So for you astute and aspiring traders , you average 16 pips a day you have doubled these awesome looking swings on this chart . Anything over 8 you have equaled these mighty swings , without the risk exposure of being locked in the mkt for say another black swan event such as the chf unpegging . Atas methodology will give way more than that ,, learn it, implement it, trade it and on weekends you can figure out where it may or may not go because the fact of the mtter is as my friends Stefx 83 pointed out and Hiddengap 2nd-ed you dont need to know to profit . As a day trader or even a small swing trader you are trading the here and now ,, Side note ,, the adlibbed candles is kinda how I see it ,, but will trade based on what levels hold or fold ,, the future is not written yet ,, well it is but not to us ,,time will show us cheers all

As for me, I would apply the same rule, let that define direction. If I take a trade and it doesn't work out and take a loss (what happens ofcourse), I wait an let the market show direction. Just by adding a rule like a max daily loss (for me 1%), which means stop trading for the day, come back the next and look for new opportunities.
It also filters out revenge trading, the psychology is the most important thing, that's why we need rules.
Knowing yourself is the most important step to a good strategy.

Nothing states that you HAVE to trade, knowing when to stay out of the market is a skill and comes with experience.

Same view on M 15 chart , Personally , I would rather sell resi areas as opposed to selling the break ,, many get caught in the middle or on wrong end of the little swings in the moment going the wrong way trying to scalp during the day ,,For most what they see as a top is the bottom and vice versa ,,,levels levels levels , cheers all

Forgot to mark weekly open ,, the diamond pattern ,,many times at the end of the day when the volume drys up uo get them ,,,, the last high or low is exceeding or at least equaled then its on to the next day working on support or resistance. Hourly is starting to have that look and lo and behold we were at the end of a week ,, off to the next one

Some strategies may be profitable even without looking at longer TF's and levels even.. just good ol PA and trailing stop. It can be as simple as that.
We tend to make things difficult by nature I guess, my trading has gotten more and more simpler... there are just too many variables.
And sometimes having too many makes the most important one overlooked... that's price action.

Having an edge means, doing the same thing every time, this means following the same rules, strat and risk management so that probability lies in your favor.

It all depends on the person, trading style, ...

There is no holy grail,
There is only you (or us) and making the right descisions, that we do by learning from each other and by practice, practice and practice..

No doubt about it man ,, very hard to get the different patterns from different time frames to mesh together at the right time to make sense . Trading weekly levels or using weekly levels to trade the quarterly time frame has worked well for me ,, businesses run on quarters ,,,, but month ends year ends or opens always a few extra quirks .. A day opens ,, A week opens , A quarter opens ,,, 1st line printed is the open ,, it all expands from there ,, each day each week ,each quarter etc etc ,, is it trading above or below ,,bullish above bearish below no matter the time frame ,, find the support and res levels and make your plan . The problem for most is which timeframe . What Ata is showing will keep you on the right side no matter what ,, yea there will be stop outs but if you take the breaks you will make way more than you lose ,, you just have to recognize when things have turned for the day or the week and make the necessary adjustments and get on with it ,, dont have to fret or wonder,,

I think what gets most is simply the bigger level being broke the higher it pops after it is broke due to orders parked in certain areas or order flow or stops which gives the false appearance of a level holding when in fact it hasent held at all it just got taken out such as last weeks high , look at the spike from just below , if you looked at just what is now a pinbar ,, while that was happening it looked like that are held ,, it didnt lol. In the space of an hour ,, short time frame ave crosses any sht timed break out method has you buying tops there , that coupled with oh yea ,,,support last weeks high held ,, buy buy buy ,,wrong stpped out ,,damn mkt makers running stops lol,nope ,just the way mkt mechanics work as levels are broke going up or down . Then the time of day has to be figured in , is it a session open ,,is it option expiry time etc etc ,,overall simpler is better on a day to day basis but a few bigger levels in mind always helps too . The mkt is not as mystic or as random as one can be led to believe at times. Its just levels and is it being bought or sold . There is actually a lot of order to what appears as complete chaos and it is much simpler than most realize ,,,,,,,, it is only as hard as you make it on yourself ,,not easy but not unattainable. The fact of the matter is it failed at weekly R1 ,,, levels been folding ever since ,,,, down to take out next level ,, back up to resis down to work on next level , etc etc ,, till it finds one that holds

I look at eur/usd every night around europe/london open.. I ask my self.. "How can i make a few pips off this sucka?" I'm successful most nights. Why? cuz I know euro/usd in london session like the back of my hand.. I know how much it moves in london on average... I know hot it reacts to bunds and dax. I am one with euro/usd for the few hours when the europe banks open and the juice starts to flow. I also know how to spot when i'm wrong fast. I just focus in on the time of day I feel most confident and I avoid times when I sense danger like if ECB rate decision or Draghi speaking, when those are schedualed I know its not gonna be a normal london session. Find what your great at.. What pair. what time of day... Focus in on it.. Build a system around it. Don't go outside your box... It will pay off nicely.

Same hourly ,,same everything only with a couple Quarterly levels marked . A rather standard move on a daily basis ,, you have a day open if trading below open goes to S1 then back to days open and things expand from there ,,, Obviously cant show the whole quarter on an hourly chart and it make sense but price revolved around quarterly open for a month ,, then the trip down to Q S1 ,, back up to test quarterly open ,,hasent held it and the weekly highs it used to get up here well the last one it used failed Friday how many more fail before one holds . If trendlines and cloned trendlines keep breaking pointing down well there is your answer ,, down till a level holds then off the other way,,,,,,,,,the 54 lwa may be the sell area now just as it was a buy area on the way up from Q S1 . Nothing written is stone traders and mkt doesent have to do anything but it will give clues based on what has happened before at previous levels . That is maybe a little directed at some who always have the but why this or why tht when the question has been answered usually in 2 or 3 posts previous . There is no 100% fool proof method of profiting every time you place a trade . You can however limit your losses and usually gain them back 3 times over if you implement a methodology with the rules attached and follow them tenaciously. It takes practice , practice and more practice ,,, The same questions over and over will not take the place of practice. A ship is not built to sit in a harbor, it must leave the safety of the harbor and get some high sea experience ,,not a day or 2 . A few months and a few storms . If you dont have the money to lose use a demo , many of those questions will be answered with your experience . Not making light of the questions but damn . Ata has to have a little time to trade too lol Sometimes one has to look at a little bigger picture and maybe what levels its around and see how the average is being used , it not alway going to be the same way

although your quote was for other member but I read your post and it is really informative and helpful. I would like to thank your for sharing such guidance with simple words and easy to understand. I am here to share my experience of the time I joined FF which was July of this year almost two months more less but I have to admit that the time I joined the FF it was quite learning for me and changing whole thing for me. when I was child I was always dreaming that one day I should I enter to the world of FX and of course I didn't know how and when but it happened that March this year I was quidded by a friend of mine on how to do it and he told me how to install the demo and then the real. he only guided me on the surface and instead he always saying about his experience that he was so lucky and very professional that within a year he gained lots of money and it is very easy. he created very wrong and unrealistic expectation in my mind and with that mind I started to do demo account for one weak and since I was very good in it I though I will be able to do the same in real too but it ended up to be false. I know it was very stupid to start with real account immediately with having no knowledge of the FX at all. after joining this platform I realized all my mistakes and gaps and how badly I blown up my account for many times.
I was thinking that only by having a long red or green candle I can deal and I can get more and I was using big leverage and I didn't know any thing about S/R , PA trend lines and so on.
believe me or not I was looking at the chart but I didn't know what all these about, what I suppose to do where I should enter or exit. I was dealing so many times a day and dealing so many pairs so blindly. now that I am writing all these it make me laugh that how stupid I was. when ever I was calling to my friend for guidance he again started talking about his gains and how much he earned last month and that he is very good in forex and so on. he was not truthful and when I was asking for info or guidance he was telling me that he will provide me with signals and the next day he forgot and then he was giving lots of lies that he got busy and.....
these 6 months I was searching and reading lots of things to understand the market how to enter or exit a trade but when I was applying those learnings but I was not successful. I was so blind but fortunately I got to know the FF and the great group it is how much effect it had on my knowledge I cant say, special thanks to Ata for being so generous and kind in helping the new traders step by step, tireless explanations, the method he explained and I tried it which was really helpful. Not only Ata but each member who is experienced and sharing their charts, entries and comments each of them has a value in teaching us and confirming that are on the right direction or not.
the efforts and initiative of Ata for creating the YouTube and presenting his method in video to new traders like me can be beneficial . all these are so valuable and I cant express how much it can help us.
I shared my experience of knowing some one and trusting him but instead he kept me in dark and instead directed me in unrealistic mentality which really harmed me mentality and financially but here are people whom I don't know them and never met in a world of social media they are very generously sharing their knowledge and experiences which all mean to me a lot.
I am a woman and have kids I have to do house work and kids to school and all other activities but still tried to stay late nights to read and study each and every thing shared in this group to increase my knowledge. trading in the zone kindly mentioned by a great member, baby pips, the secret of chicness candle stick, RSI and so all is a resources to one who is keen to learn that kindly shared and guided by each valuable member of this group.
I am limited in words to express my respect and gratitude to Ata for his initiative for creating this group and all his efforts to make others learn and thanks each and every one who contributes and puts a information or reply to some one question.
during these 6 months I lost a lot, several times become disappointed but still never give up because what I believe is that forex is not easy to learn but it is not impossible to learn.

Was not the jest at all or negative,, most starting out get hit again and again ,, working on a few basics helps to eliminate that ,, starts with a simple concept or making things as simple as possible,,yes endless ways to make money ,,but one usually learns a lot of ways to lose 1st ,, easy to get beat down ,, dont give up and work from something understandable and build from there was the point, wasent meant to be negative, if it came across that way ,sorry.
