I play your L closing rule.. yesterday was closed lower,, we should short from yesterday till today... now it looks like today may close lower than yesterday...

plus its a week close.. but it alone dont mean much because the day is 1646.. -1620 likely.. but if above 1620, see if NY is above 1683 close.. They may try to sneak it in.

I bought some longs here 1610 /1614 for a bounce in another acct ..since ADR reached 84 out of 80...maybe a bad idea...

How Institutions Position Themselves In Euro/Usd This Week

This week, institutions stayed net shorted Euro for 3 consecutive weeks , which was shown in the latest COT as of Tuesday, Aug 28, 2018.

The institutions net short Euro positions increased this week by 2,378 contracts to negative 7,219 contracts,

17,548 long positions were closed, and 15,170 short positions were closed as well . Now Longs total 171,359 contracts vs shorts total 178,578 contracts .

49% long exposure vs 49% short exposure,the same as the previous week

During week, Euro started at 1.1570, hit support at 1.1530,started to rally to high 1.1733, it closed at 1.1694

Large orders of shorts were covered, which helped the Euro price to move up, in a way to help them to unload their large orders of longs

Price did come to test and back down from weekly supply zone in 1.1655 to 1.1850 area, where sellers are active in this area,

Now price came down, which may test H4 demand zone 1.1535-1.1490 area, if it does not hold, next daily demand zone 1.1345-1.1300

In spite of Euro the recent moving up, I see institutions are lack of buying interest, which indicates they are preparing Euro to move lower

Institutions Sentiment: Bearish

Please note institutions take weeks and months to build a position in the currency market. For Euro, they have started to build their net short positions since 8/14/2018. Therefore, the bearish sentiment is more for a long term outlook, not intended for short term trading.

How Institutions Position Themselves In Dollar This Week

For Dollar, the latest COT as of Tuesday,Aug 28, 2018, institutions increased net long positions 16 weeks in a row

Currently net long 34,571 contracts, up 449 from the previous week.

85% long exposure vs 15% short exposure , Longs added 5% and shorts dropped 5% from the previous week

Institutions continued to accumulate dollar while dollar came down from 95.71 high to 94.43 low.

Institutions Sentiment: Bullish
