Ratios & Harmonics: a Different Way to Trade

Week 34
Only traded 4 days this week. Had to skip the Wednesday session due to some meetings.
- 7 trades (-141)
- 2 winners
- 4 losers
- 1 B/E
- Traded 2 contracts on Mon/Tue/Thu, but had to scale down to 1 on Fri.
- On Mon/Tue/Thu I entered on limit orders and on Fri on decision candles.
- Demo trading

Made some dumb mistakes. Comments are on the charts. Please feel free to criticize or provide feedback.

Improvements for next week
- Only enter on decision candles. No more limit orders.
- Determine an expectation for a correction based on projection, momentum and depth and wait for this expectation to play out.
- Stick to the order flow that you are trading. Don't switch to longer or shorter term order flows over the course of a trading session.
- Wait for price to develop. If price is in a complex correction for a longer period, be patient and wait for a break of the NSH/NSL or LH/HL.
- Anything my fellow traders give me feedback on.

Right into my Cypher, targets just got hit this last Friday.

Everyone do your own due diligence, it is the least exciting part of trading but in my eyes, THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF TRADING.

Improvements for next week look pretty good. Thats exactly what I would suggest after checking your charts. Reminds me of some of my rules.
I would also concentrate more on entering manually instead of entering through limit orders. A lot of losses could have been avoided as I can see in your charts.

Thanks Hansl. Much appreciated. Looking forward to it as well.

I will try to do this every weekend from now on as some kind of a journal for myself and others.

I only have some comments on the first chart. The other two look good.

Now both Mr. Pip and RajD are saying the expectation failed at B, while I was thinking it failed at C. I would say that the yellow line is the main swing and as soon as that gets broken the expectation failed. Am I missing something?

From my view on the charts I would also consider the structure fail is on C.

There is a NSH followed by a 100% correction or retest of the last HL. After that the HL gets taken out and price made a NSL. Next thing price achieves is a NSH by taking out the last (correct) high at point C. I dont consider this other high at the level of point B as a LH.

At least thats my view.

Of course some might see this different and take this last down swing as the main swing for the NSL. It depends on how you look at it I guess. Would be interesting to hear other opinions on this.

Hi Bruin, I agree with you on your understand of the yellow line being the main swing. point B would be the immediate main swing. If you decide to place a short trade the stop loss will be above point B. Hope this helps.

Your stoploss will be above the top of the main swing. Where you placed your SL, price did not make a 38.2 retracement.

Hi Liemo , you can refer to page 3 post 43 , there was a main swing and dominant swing explanation.
