Sossos, I haven't read the cited book but I am familiar with the importance of #3 in TA just like you mentioned. Often I mark on my charts 3rd touch of the TL to warn of possible bounce off.....I use EW and harmonic patterns only to find PRZ's where the reaction is expected then TL's to pinpoint my entries and exits. As a matter of fact, I believe I could make "federal case" that all trader needs to trade successfully are horizontal (inflection points: YH, YL, YCL, T's Open, PP's) and diagonal TL's and know how to trade around them...Elliot was influenced by the Dow Theory (the core of TA) and his Wave Principle is the complement to it. Also, he has introduced Fibonacci ratios to determining retracement points and price objectives by measuring the relationships between the different waves.
