  1. Test system on demo/small account, for months at least
  2. Focus on the trade, not on money or return.
  3. R:R - If the average win is bigger than the average loss, you are doing fine
  4. Review your trades: Find areas that can be improved on
  5. Swing trading vs Day trading/Scalping
  6. Think and trade like the Market/big players, not like the average retail traders

What did you mean by swing trading vs. scalping? What’s your recommendation actually?

Trading with a specific trading plan is very much important; in addition, traders need to set their trading plan based on their own performances in demo. Unrealistic plan is always costly.

When i said have a plan and follow it, i meant have a plan that you have backtested and is profitable over the long run.

Agree; we need to spend enough sessions with a specific trading system here; judging any trading system too early is another common mistake! Newbie’s like to judge their system after making 2-3 TPs only.

Stop using indicators all together, learn to read the news and sentiment afterwards ( I know easier said than done) and you will be in the 1% that makes it in this business.

And would add stay away from brokers that "B Book" you as well (They trade against you).
