I know several ecn's that offer 500/1 it does not mean they are bucketshop's, they are just responding to market pressure. Also there are legitimate reasons why 500/1 can be helpful like holding stops without system interference.

The quickest way to be a successful Forex trader takes approximately 10 years. Shortcuts take longer.

By 500/1; did you mean leverage feature or anything else?

Its not just about the lots being traded...what if you trade 100Lots and its being leveraged by Pepperstone 500:1......LOL...that means your trade is actually worth $20,000 on the market,good luck trying to move the market with that...you want to move the market you need to check the average daily worldwide trading volume of the pair and try to buy or sell more than 30% of that volume....we talking at least $30Million-$100Million on a low volume trading pair like maybe NZDJPY Pair...lol...Forex is not for kids and dont forget when you trading forex pairs it does not mean you just competing against your fellow traders you are actually going against the economy of the underlying countries.

I have heard this before and its not true with due courtesy. Your gains do not come from fellow traders. Your gains come from the liquidity providers of your broker. Banks and high net worth individuals who choose not to hedge your trade, buts that's not our business, whether they hedge or not, thats "their" business. All that is important is that they pay and are honest.

To expand on my above post. Your mind will begin to give you answers if you take on the burden and apply yourself. Start by observing the market, test small ideas with small money, have modest pip expectations, look for reliable, high probability and less pips, because low pips can be offset with high leverage if you have a reliable idea.

Drop all indicators and trade the price action. Price action is the only thing that matters. Some doubt it but I firmly believe if you share your strategy it will be diminished and disappear over time, your edge will melt away, I cant say if its true, but I'd never take that chance, for what? Its not worth the personal risk. So Im not ever going to do that. (though my thieving broker can probably see what Im doing, but that cant be helped)

But I do encourage noobs to apply their own innate talents regarding problem solving. It will take time but its certain you will get your strategy eventually. Then expect another long time before you fully trust it and apply and execute flawlessly (cant make a bot, share the strategy with the coder, who knows what he will do with it)

Your mind will make you rich but its a painful, frustrating bewildering process. Make sure to look at the big picture first and foremost.

I started out as a junior dealer on a small desk in Florida. I quickly worked my way up to running the Euro desk where most of our clients traded Cable. We had one client who was trading 100 lots at a clip and we would offset to our prime broker. 100 lots at a clip during the Euro open would not move the market so much but this was during the days of 2GBP cable to the dollar. This client got close to margin call on a billion dollar notional value position which we had to dump and that shit moved the market quickly. At the time GBP wasn't as liquid as we thought.

He is spreading misinformation on purpose, such as that the current MT4 version backtests would be representative despite the "generic tick simulation".

He also believes that the market is moved by supply and demand.

So to answer your question:

NO, your 100 lots will NOT push the market "in your direction" as dukas_troll falsely claims.

INSTEAD, you will become a big nice bar on the histogram and y-axis, and soon thereafter the SM Algos will push the price against you until:

- you get stopped out
- you get a margin call
- you close manually at a loss.

Maybe 15 years ago things were different, but who cares.

These days, the FX markets are completely DOMINATED by the SM Algo manipulation.

I have shown this in detail (see above) and with live trade calls, all this while dukas_troll did do NOTHING else than doing his daily hate speeches in bad language.

That is why the community here has decided in my favor.

Think about it;

if you could "push the market in your favor" with big positions,

then one could have multiple accounts and flip some ticks.

There is (in FX!) absolutely NO ONE, no individual or fund or other, who can do that.

hihi, fractalfreak is same loser like from beginning.
nothing, really no post from him is correct, amazing. i need to creect this beginner any time, he tried to start a scam fraud business and was very fast exposed because he did all very stupid and now try to misleading other people again and again. loser lose, scammer scam, but fractalfreak really want look like a teacher to steal people money with a fraud and is unable to look intelligent. not many people have all posts wrong, but this little boy without any experience really got it, thatswhy he only has total fools and beginners in his thread, but only 3-5 people left, rest already kicked his ass because of his cheating and faking of his trades and history and post content and misleading all people. the rest 5 fools will stay for ever, but at least deserve that a loser guides other losers.
