USDCNH again the major player in the town, too late for entry but likely to progress higher.

USDCNH baking short term target quickly. Emerging markets under pressure across currency and bond area, Priority focus on CNH and TRY. Both currencies have more downside to bake in the next days / weeks.

Emerging markets in the rollover as pointed earlier today with TRY and CNH both taking a dive. Sold USDCNH long for 6 R gain.

EURAUD just missed the setup was about to pull the entry as it poped trough supply.

Huge bear mid term macro .... Turkish lira

And here we go for the bombshell that has been waiting to come. With the delivery of emergency rate hike over a month ago, and with price not responding (previously mentioned price has actually run over the hike level) showing that markets did not blink to the move of central bank, with real expectation that Erdogan will go full monkey style towards monetary policy.
With the news just 1 hour ago , Erdogan now confirming that rates will go down in the near future, meaning that the central bank current policy path will be reversed, which is an exceptional move that cannot be seen anywhere else in the world, and will surely cause an absolute loose of a trust in Turkish capital markets.
This now opens huge bearish macro and fuilly exposes USDTRY to level 5.000 and beyond.
Plotting here a "bull macro square" with aim to seek for bullish M1/M15 plays along the direction and holding for larger targets.
Hopefully the history will record this so that no future leaders will ever attempt such moves again, altough the price the population will pay for lecture will be high.

In either case this could now potentially open strong volatility increase on USDTRY pair as the things worsen. The only remaining puzzle is how the debt markets will react to that, will the yields drop, possibly on internal side yes, on international side if anything they will probably worsen.
