Well played, you handled that way better than i did. Had a solid play lead by catalyst but the execution was bad, loaded US30 position with too big size and had to close it early as i eaten too much margin, played it also on same correlated entry trough JPY but it didnt rip trough , took a dip had to BE close most of size, held trough some DD but that was a high probability play.
This play is example where US30 didnt actually had a particular structural setup on the M1 chart but it was 100% correlated play where USDJPY actually showed proper pullback structure (risk off flows JPY - equities - dollar).
Pullback legs that have clearout and strong LL HH rotations are usually explosive in the baked move, but this one was not.

Focus today on first 30 minutes of US equities after open, potential momentum moves due to catalyst. Not sure exactly which stocks are the most exposed to current play, so best way is to just use a random % change filter to spot the plays, or volatility change filter in TC2000.

anyway a nice play, at least some gains. I closed biggest part of my long at TP1, so I am a bit frustrated myself

Here goes USDJPY as the pullback leg rotates with further upside, the question is will US equities follow, got pending ready this time with stop order. 8 minutes till open, potential pop incoming.

US30 long closed at break even, no momentum.

Jan I have a question. How do you partial close on TC2000? What I did is to enter an opposite order with smaller size, but it's quite slow. Is there a faster way to close like 30% or 50%?

Most likely baking a short term bottom on US / EU equities for this week. Potential continuation on upside till Friday (soft).

Oh ye sure thats one way, you can open short if you have long order and that will basically close the long position. But the better way is to:
Click buy on top / middle screen of TC2000, select number of shares, select limit order, and click buy.
Then to sell position click on close (it will appear next to buy in top middle screen) and select "Sell to close X..." then you can select how many shares you want to close out, click on first tab under "position" and select 30% then click sell at market, then once price moves some more repeat the same process to close another 30% of size.
It might look as a bit of work, but really once you get used to it it really just takes 15 seconds of extra work only. Make sure you practice this with tiny positions first to get used to it.

Yep well spotted. It has enough highs, 3 are minimum and it has very heavy momentum ahead of it. Plus its a low floater those can rip quick.

US going ballistic on implying further sanctions across the globe, next one on the line ...Turkey. If move is taken then eyes on TRY as that will likely bake a strong move, depending on which sector is targeted.
