LVS wont be taking this one as it doesnt have momentum bake with HH, but it might work, symmetry is decent.

BEed, small loss, got bad feeling when seeing slow movement, then bearish spike happened......

in hindsight, seems the momentum was too 'tiny' for the whole structure, probably why this is not a solid setup

Its a decent B quality play, mind that the biggest component missing from this setup was momentum move. The bull leg you were playing had pretty much same volatility scale than bear legs, actually even lower than that. There was however a takeout on bullish pop on last few candles which usually is good attention for targeted attempt, so that would be probably the main reason why the play was ok.

between 0.9 and 2pts at the moment, but missed the entry anyway due to a telephone call

honestly speaking, I dont know what it means. I just pay attention to spread in points/pips.

whats your spread for USDTRY right now?

Been over a year since Shopify was put on a long term macro watchlist with target 150 USD (70 at the time of the plot). There is no resistance to be plotted or seek on larger time frame basis, since the sky is opened for e commerce. Nor Amazon nor Shopify have even reached to its 10% of potential in my view and the growth charts are so far pointing every year to just more upside. With all the facts on the ground in terms of retail stores its very hard to build any bearish case for those companies.
Truly the only bearish scenario would be a full crossover ban on Chinese imports to US if trade war escalates over next years which is a some probability to happen altough it would be a massively bearish to US equities in general, but never say never, trade wars often do go all the way deep.
Businesses and technologies that are resistant to financial crisises in terms of their growth are usually the ones coming on top with domination not far along in future. Resistance to bearishness is usually indication of strong strenght.
Decentralized distribution and monetary systems are the way of future, e commerce companies on first hand and cryptos on the other.

USDTRY atm 5 points and 5 pippets (55). But spreads in terms of pips is irrelavant, all it matters is spread size compared to the structure one is trading and overall volatility. If spread is 100 pips, but structure depth is 50k pips then that would be valid trade to take, its all relevant to volatility.

Well thats really annoying, the only proper play in equity markets in last two days and i didnt get a chance on proper fill. Only filled 20% of size initially, and didnt fill limit order as the spike went too quickly. High probability play...but also a decent chance to miss it if aggressive fills arent taken. Obviously many traders were watching same thing in this case and thats what baked the case for quick move.

In either case this is setup for anyone participating on thread to study, it had it all. Strong momentum, strong symmetry and consistency of H / L prints, clearout with swift reversal, micro shelf and a takeout without any DD. 10 / 10.

And it gets even worse as it bakes full flagship move to the upside moments later.

USDCNH still on focus for momentum plays on bull side. Some recent comments from China to start liquidating US T bills are not really helping much as that would simply push yields up and drag further capital from EMs which pretty much is where the core of problem is. RUB and ZAR in soft correlated play in same direction.
