Good idea, it would be interesting to see what Pepperstone CEO Owen Kerr would say about it.
there are this plugin for many many many years for any metatrader broker possible. or simple program own plugin or add on. as broker you can do whatever you want, some plugin are ok, like against arbitrage because of slower prices (or this broker would be out of the game very fast) ..... other give the brokers a bigger advantage (like increasing filling time, to can better find a bigger slippage opposite price for the broker...).....

You are totally right, all this plug-ins are common knowledge since ages now. In fact, believing that your broker doesn't control every aspect of your trade and the prices you get, if it lets you open or close a position, and so on, is very naive.

Having said that, what is very wrong, is when brokers come afterwards and erase profits alleging "arbitrage" or whatever. Now, I didn't yet hear any story like that with Pepperstone.

Very shocking (although I knew about VD plugins). My broker is also listed as a customer but not in your screenshot. What's the solution guys? I am sick of retail brokers playing games. Here's a new one I noticed after a profitable month....My terminal shows "Not Connected" more frequently now. I run 3-4 terminals in parallel including demo and randomly I am getting disconnects only on some live terminals. I have remote push notifications etc to ensure my EA is running but if the terminal is simply doing some sort of forced disconnect, I get screwed! Any solution to fight these b**tards other than just quit trading altogether?

"Price Changer"... My EA always does the maxspread check for10 seconds before opening or closing any trades. Is that enough to beat this or is this something else?

The last thing those dudes are going to do is to investigate a broker. Not when the brokers pay the wages.
Perhaps someone would be kind enough to ask redoktober on the scammers thread to investigate a possible scam with Pepperstone and (perhaps others) of using a plugin to fleece their clients. John has provided some possible evidence to back up his thoughts, and being a scammers thread and redoktober a self proclaimed witch finder general, this investigation should surely be a top priority.
I can't ask him, he barred me from the thread for standing up to him.
Of course if he doesn't look into it or refuses to accept that it's a possible scam.....then perhaps we know where he's real loyalties lay.

its many years known that you can add any plugin in any metatrader, whatever you want. this are only simple plugins, you really need to learn the basics of trading, one part should be whats possible and done by brokers and with what you have to live (some plugins are even neccessary that they dont get bankrupt or used by some people who cant trade and only want use problems inside metatrader or data feed for advantage, because they cant trade with normal price quotes).

really, its more easy when you read about all this, and you will completly rethink about what you write here.

Looks like there are plenty of 'sweaty brokers and their buddies' on here at the ole factory, look at em coming out of the cracks like cockroaches to defend the MT4 plugins they use to rip off customers lmao!

This has been bothering me all day. Could someone confirm if broker can mess with the terminal's connectivity via "Disconnect" or "Not Connected" to their servers at will ? I have 8 devices in my home network and my trading machine has 4-6 MT4 terminals running 24x5 and only one or two live accounts are being disconnected at random. The Terminal is NOT frozen. I can click, open charts, navigate etc etc... but no live quotes in marketwatch until I exit the MT4 terminal and restart. It then reconnects without any issues. There is no error in the Experts or Journal tab either. If there is a ISP/internet connectivity failure, MT4 should typically reconnect itself.

I am not with Pepperstone or any of the brokers listed in the screenshot but an offshore unregulated broker (listed on this plugin vendor's website so won't mention them publicly). I have 6 small accounts but only 2 are being "affected". If there is really a broker backend tool doing such disconnects then VPS also won't help :-

The trouble is, those with ‘balls’ tend to get shut down or at the very least barred from a thread. What do they say, ‘to hide a lie keep it in plain sight’... one thread comes to mind.

simple answer:

any broker with metatrader (and any other software) can do anything! this should be clear and one of the most basic anyone need to know! its simple software, you can do anything by pure porgramm or by add ons or plugins or feed and connection regulations,......

same like you can do anything with your expert programs.

From what i recall, Pepper used to provide a OneClickTradingEA shipped with MT4 which was created by that website.
i always knew that plugins for price manipulation on MT4 existed, i try to think that the broker i use don't used them but there is no way to know for sure.
the fact that your broker isn't listed in the website doesn't mean they don't manipulate price, they may have the skills to make their own plugin

The truth is, even if they do its still legal because thats how forex is, OTC unregulated shit, a broker can feed you any price they want, they can legally be your counterpart or partially hedge you.

if i had the found i would move to Futures, retail forex is just a pseudo casino.

if you're in forex you should always keep an eye open for any shady stuff going on and be ready to take out your cash.

I do agree with this.

Even with all the regulation and technologies, bad brokers are just bad brokers. Sadly regulators will only act after huge problems happen.

I think in the end just trade wherever you feel safe and legit. You can feel it from every aspect, the CS, the trading rules, the connection, the feed, the consistency, the easiness of withdrawal etc etc.
