I may not take any trades today but I will be reading. We can do a live stream next week some time once the volume improves on the YM

1st Trade of the day. Had a horrible entry, because i was doing something other than paying attention to my charts
Edit: 98 points total done for day. Volume seems to be drying up

If the sellers decided to really start selling the YM. Then my first target will be 25180. If it passes 25074 with significant strength, then my next target will be 24808.

Only time will tell. That is my expectation for shorts. I need to see if I can find an expectation for the buyers incase my other expectations fail.

Up to this point I've only traded the spot fx market, so futures are new to me.
So we have YM 06 18 expiring but still tradeable and the new YM 09 18 contract
now available. What impact does this have on trading apart from a marked drop
in volume, since we effectively have 2 instruments for trading YM this week?
Is it the same each quarter?

I had the same entry as you Evoc only I put my stop at BE based on the 89tick and my second trade was stopped out and to see the trade would have worked out. One of my old issues which turn up again.

Wanted a 20 000 tick crash on a 50 contract short position but got 52 points on a 1 contract position

..can't get closer than that.

I see and I have to apologise. I was part of the reason why you were stopped out.

I got in at a similar point on US30 (CFD instead of Futures version of YM). I did not take profit as I had not got to BE. It will be interesting to see if this one plays out.

Target is 25256
Entry: 25349
Stop: 25393

Move to BE when/if price gets below 25281.

I chose to move to BE+5 after price failed for a third time to create a NSL.
Trade result - Break Even+5

bulls have struggled their climb, however the bears haven't shown any signs of entering in just yet (in the last swing). Would this be considered a good time to enter even if i see a rotating candle at my AOI??

The bears made three attempts and have failed to make a NSL. Have the bears weakened??

I decided to trade the sxpiring contract yesterday (06 18) and never found entry as a result of low volume. Price ranged all day. Im still new so all I can tell you about is my experience, but I checked the 09 18 chart after my session and would have found entry there so I believe most traders are on to the new contract.
