Is Darwinex still a trustable broker?

The earlier we take our time to know and understand the way of the forex brokers, especially the one we choose to use, the better our forex trading career becomes.

ok, I received my money today, thanks everyone join the discussion, now i believe darwinex is still a good broker, case closed, thanks.

Honest question: If tomorrow you have a big amount you want to trade with, would you deposit it to Darwinex, because you still trust them ? (meaning you're confident you will be able to withdraw without any problem ?).

I will consider but not now, need some time to confirm everything has back to normal.

I think Darwinex is very reliable broker in UK, with big potential for future. They are very open about all - jurisdictions things, people that work, support but in very Strictly agree with any FCA regulation points ... and it is very slow process.

But I trust to this broker longer time.

Very high performant low latency servers, ultra fast data feed without stutter/lagging or freezing (during volatile events), real LPs and the overall execution time is below 100ms (MT4).

That's the huge difference between them and all the other 95% scam brokers.

That seems all good ... as long as you can withdraw.
There's also LMAX, Dukascopy, IB and probably a few others.

All clients of UK FCA Regulated brokers should have received the following email and accordingly submitted documents. If you did not receive such an email you may have slipped through the net and the broker may have been playing catchup on your withdrawal request - hence, possibly why no problem with prior withdrawals. Or - you may have not responded to said email and not traded and not contacted the broker until withdrawal request.

First of all, MIFID rules have been around for a while. If you are overseas and a UK broker allows you to open your account without showing your passport or national ID card, then avoid the broker at all cost (regardless of which jurisdiction they belong to). Otherwise when comes to withdrawal, they will want a copy of your passport or id , certified, notarised etc and sent to the broker by courier which cost a bundle.

Like the email abive said, it can suspend or close your trades and account. It cannot suspend and close your account and hold on to your money. They can kick you out together with you money. If they closed your account and hold on to your money, that means your asset is being seized which is they are not allowed to do without a court order. The only body that can seize your asset without a court order is the tax office.

I know someone who tried to open an account last week with an Australian broker but was rejected. Probably due to paperwork not meeting the requirements. But once the customer is accepted and funded and start trading, the only condition for withdrawal is that the destination bank account must belong to the trader , which may require verifications. No more KYC paperwork once the account is opened. Even if trader decide to become a US citizen after opening an account and the broker finds out, they can close his account but will send the funds to wherever bank he chose. They cannot hold on to your money.


Note: If this relate to shares that you already owned, you cannot sell(or transact in any way) those shares if you don't prove citizenship but they cannot take those shares away from you or force you to sell.

The bottom line is no New transactions.

OP mentioned that Darwinex need proof of income, job etc is highly suspicious after a trader being with them for years. They can request this information any time if they missed doing this initially and suspend account if trader refused but should never delay withdrawal. The money belongs to the trader regardless of his status.

The post implies the broker may have, for stated reason, had to catch up on uncompleted regulatory administrations. If such, funds could not be released until regulatory administrations in order. Nor, for same reason, could the account be permitted to trade. Hence, rightly or wrongly (and perhaps accompanied with muddled excuses) to avoid regulatory repercussions account frozen until regulatory administrations in order.

The OP has not stated the account valuation. Larger accounts are subject to periodic or annual review requiring revalidation of financial assets and solvency.

Has anyone running a live account with Darwinex?Are there any platform freezing,stop loss hunting practises with Darwinex?

Hi guys. Just arrived to Forex Factory as I just started trading on FX CFDs (with Darwinex broker). I come from a 10yr experience in the futures market but nothing on FX. I am from Spain and in here this broker is starting to get more followers, at the moment, everything looks fine but I am wondering if I should try other brokers or just stay here. Any feedback? Thanks in advance.
