Hi Irawan,

Glad you find these useful.

Actually, a "Black Dot", if I remember it right, is just a label that vegas came up pertaining to reversal points or formation in the extreme or interest fib numbers when trading the Vegas Wealth Builder (VWB).

I've just been through this when trying to install the VWB indicators. Here's what I did to fix it:

1. Delete the indicator from the Experts>Indicators folder using the navigator
2. Open the editor and open the MQ4 file from the location to which you originally downloaded it.
3. Using the editor, save the file into the C:\program files\metatrader4\experts\indicators folder (or wherever you installed the program).
4. The indicator should now be visible in the "Custom Indicators" folder on the navigator window.
5. When the inicator is dragged onto a chart, or added using a right mouse click, it will get compiled and will then run.

I've no idea why this is necessary, but it's the only way I could make it work. It seems like the editor must add something when you open the file and save it in this way.

Hi East,

I followed the original advice of the plugins, thanks (another thread). However, seems to me I'm one of the people who has the problem as described above as per point 1. Maybe it's a matter of language (or because it's late:-)), but from what I understand above:

1. I have to open and "save as'' the file in the location given? (unfortunately I can not open the file - my system says something about not indentifying such a program??)
2. What is meant by open the ''editor"?

At the moment from what I can see I can only copy the file to the location under progra files but in this case it is not working, even after restarting my computer?

Any advice is welcome

Hi icantoo,

Not really sure what's happening so I'll just post images that I hope will help.
First, the indicators must be already existing under the "indicators" folder under your MT4 platform (See attached image "indicators folder.gif").

The editor or the MetaEditor (editor for programming or opening Metaquotes files) can be accessed from MT4 using the icon provided by Peter above or through the shortcut key F4.

You can try accessing it by running your MT4 platform and then pressing "F4".

A minimized image of the editor can be seen with the image below named "MetaEditor.gif".

thanks all for providing insight on complications. can anyone help me out in finding the reall vegas daily currency files for metatrader 4, a sort of plug in for vegas system. i do have already avalable here in this forum, but problem with that is that it gives ema tunnel and all fibo numbers lines for diffrent risk models from 1-4 but it dont give those black dots for initiation of short or long positions. Please help in providing plug in having those black dots or provide how to use that plug with metatrader 4 if i am wrong already in doing so.

My first post.

I'm totally new with MT4. I want to know if anyone could direct me to a beginners source of information tutorials, glossarys, lessons, etc. When I do search I seem to just get a plethoria or brokers wanting me to open demo accounts, or blogs that are are somewhat helpful but out of sequence to my learning the basics. I have a demo account already and have gone through their tutorial, but need more now I think.
FYI: I'm not new to trading by any means but this MT4 in very fasinating....I've always been a fundamental guy.

If you have specific questions about the program you can always try the help section, or if you are more of a visual guy you can go to youtube.com and search there. They have a ton on mt4 "how-to" videos. Some better then others but is a good place to see what to do.
