Yeah some maybe try to do that but I bought simply based on a Moving Average I was watching on Daily.. nothing works precise on larger timeframes so sometimes you have to jump in with the touch and face a drawdown, since daily or higher timeframe touch levels can shift between 50 to 100 pips.. .. nothing surprising here..

Dude, I hope you still hold those longs in...

In regards to the chart - I would draw the TL based only on closing price rather than wicks - that's the intraday noise.
When it comes to trading based on TL touches,rebounds and breakouts, specially on D1 chard (god forbid Weekly) you'll need a deep SL...sometimes more than 150-200 pips.

Because there are obvious points of demand, and you can make easy pips buying them at least, and catch the reversal at most.

entering a trade coz rsi reaches overbought or oversold areas is very risky. using oscillators or indicators in itself the trader will always be 2-3 moves behind the play. hold until price demonstrate a trend change. it will do this by reacting sharply against most resistance. the wave itself down has to be choppy indicating weakness.

Hi guys,

Great thread here.

My analasys based on a "few" years of research:

Bottom should be in until the third of june. Worst case price for today is 1.163,8. Allow some slippage. Target next week is 1.1880.

Few cents, only.

As for the members criticizing longs:

Each has their own reasons to take positions.
Sometimes we are the wrong side and ends up with losing trades.
Nobody wins all the time in this business, hence we place stops.
There are other opportunities. A couple of losing trades are not gonna make a big difference.
Hope this makes sense and let's move on.

the "mistake" was to put the Stop exactly at S/R.
You got stopped out by the spread, but not because your broker is evil but because your Stop was too tight.

The trade:
- Technical Setup: ok
- Entry: ok(ish) (this is either late or early, but you waited to the pullback, that's good)
- Execution: nervous (itchy trigger finger?)
- Stop: fear of losing, technicly wrong
- Target: ?? what did you anticipate?
- Solution: practice, patience, use Sell Stop / Buy Stop orders more often.

How do you know that the price will retrace to 1.1880?

2 Long positions here, one a bit early - that double bottom fulled me and I patiently waited for Price to come close to my level of 1.1750.
